Extremely detailed and love Lachlan’s layouts of his instructionals.
Lachlan Giles' systematic approach to teaching has made his instructionals far and away my favorite. This one will not be for everyone, as it is really mostly a systematic study of the body lock, as opposed to some of his other position based instructionals. However, for those who want a systematic approach to the bodylock (that is more affordable than Gordon Ryan's), I got a lot out of this one.
Loved the details. Super effective when done correctly.
This is a high percentage pass. It’s a long and detailed instructional so prepare to spend a lot of time reviewing and drilling.
:muscle: 100%
Great instructional. Super detailed.
What is great about this comprehensive instructional focused on single type of passing is that it gives you an end-to-end plan covering the crucial details in a practical way and dealing with lots of risks/showstoppers ("troubleshooting" sections) along the way to secure the pass. Is short, first-class material!
LG is one of the best instructors and all his videos so far are gold, can’t go wrong
Excellent instruction and some solid additions to anyone’s BJJ toolkit
Great breakdown, specifically with the different stages/pieces of the pass. Very common sequences and problems are addressed with high quality information/problem solving. Very on par with his other instructionals.
Great instructional on the body lock pass! A LOT OF INFORMATION! But you can start applying it right away and as you progress and get different reactions Lachlan has the solutions to these problems.
Great instructional! Good quality production. Lachlan covers all the details needed to implement the bodylock pass into your bjj alongside covering a range of common issues you will face. Well worth the money paid.
this instructional truly helped me fix a lot of holes in my body lock passing game as well as introducing new entries into the position and detailed fundamental concepts that I believe could be applied to many other positions in submission grappling. I can't thank Lachlan enough for putting together this masterpiece 5/5
Excellent instructional. Very detailed and easy to understand. Highly recommend!
Lachlan is simply great. Very easy to understand and easily applicable
Great information and details, this will be helping me for a long time
The man is a great teacher. I'm very happy with this purchase.
I'm a older grappler, but bigger in size and this video was very beneficial in helping. I was missing a few details and I watched the first two videos in the series. That was all it took to have my first body lock pass with technique. It felt really good and I'm working on watching the last two videos. I won't give away the video detail, but I had to make sure when I tripod I had the other person on the correct hip and their knee facing in a way that they couldn't sweep me. Also, the grips for the body lock were extremely helpful. Also, I found the head position very important and keeping my hips back.
My prisoners kept escaping my grips and running out of the dungeon sometimes making it all the way to the electric fence. Since learning the body lock, I have been able to control them much better.
Lachlan is one of the best instructors I have watched. He is very good at imparting the fine details in applicable ways.
Lots of useful details. Certainly a game changer to my guard passing game.
Breaks it down into when and where to use what. Definitely has improved my game so far.
Detailed and effective.
I have this heavy weight in my school, that spams the body lock pass (his specialty) and consistently smashes everyone, and passes them at the same time. He is immovable. I tried everything to regain my guard as hes performing this pass. Now i feel more equipped.
Instruction is excellent, logical sequencing of lessons that is very comprehensive. Have added this guard pass to my game, it works as a great reset position when losing upper body control. Video production quality is good, though camera users occasionally draw unwanted attention to themselves (Don't touch the zoom).
