• Exceptional No-Gi Choke System – Clear, Detailed, and Practical

  The lessons are very well organized and easy to follow. He explains every detail clearly and shows common mistakes and how to fix them. You can really tell he is a very experienced coach. He explains not just how to do the chokes, but why they work and when to use them. The techniques are practical and work well in real training. I have already used some of these chokes in sparring. I highly recommend this course for all levels.

• Excellent Details; Misleading Title

  This is a broad and useful selection of chokes, but other than the Guillotine, they are not particularly high-percentage. Lachlan does an excellent job of breaking down the choke details. I think he does a better job at this than Neil Melanson or Pedro Marinho. (Pedro Marinho's Marinhotine is brutal, though.) The six highest-percentage chokes in both no-gi submission grappling and MMA are (1) Rear ***** Choke, (2) Guillotine Choke, (3) Triangle Choke, (4) Arm Triangle Choke (5) D'Arce Choke, and (6) Anaconda Choke. This instructional is missing (1), (3), and (4). It does not cover the Rear ***** Choke, the Triangle Choke, or the Arm Triangle Choke. The chokes this instructional covers are the Guillotine (both arm-in and arm-out variations), the D'Arce, the Anaconda, the Japanese Necktie, and the North-South Choke. Total running time: 4 hours, 37 minutes.
