Game changer
I have been using this instructional for about 3 months now and it has really changed my bottom guard game. A lot of my training partners are having trouble passing my guard now, whereas before, my guard was so easily passed. Still a lot to learn, as there is so much content on this instructional. Point to note, I am not very flexible, but some flexibility is needed to use some of these techniques, especially for inverting. Personally, inverting is something I rarely do, but am working on it.

This is one of the best instructionals I've ever watched. Lachlan and Ari are great teachers. They explain the concepts behind their style of guard retention, not just showing you techniques. I was never properly taught guard retention and this helped me tremendously to understand what guard retention even is. Some parts get very detailed and intricate but they try their best to make it as easy as possible to understand. I highly recommend this instructional from white belts all the way to black belts.

Mind blowing. The precision of teaching and the way they stop and show real footage of rolls with commentary help drive home the complexity of any move. I've always struggled with how to start a roll strategically-this video gives great insights into that. They also show you how you can adapt your guard game if you are very flexible (which I happen to be) -to use those legs, spins and moves quickly that make being on the bottom a more confident experience. This is really comprehensive so you could spend 6 months going through the system. Im gonna get the part 2 video to this soon.

Since I started studying and bringing to life the conepts from the Guard Retention Anthology, my game significantly has improved. My guard is much more harder to pass, my self-confidence in keeping retention has gone up as well. Thanks Ariel, thanks Lachlan for doing, what you're doing!

Great content. Both instructors demonstrate techniques and scenarios when to use them. On top of that you're given exercises/stretches that can help with your mobility and flexibility in jiujitsu overall. Great product.

Lachlans and Ariels guard retention series "Around and Under" and "Through The Legs and Close Range" are the best and most helpful DVD series you can buy. After 4 Month of playing this system my guard game went from s*it to super anoying. Just a few days ago one of our brown belts told me that my guard is a pain in the a*s. It became actually really fun to play guard and see people desperately trying to pass. This in combination with keymaster to matrix to crab/bolo back is a game changer for me
