Past the quarter, everything is borderline in Ibjjf. Still, pure gold
This has helped me tremendously with my turtle attack series. The quarter Nelson is money! It's worth every penny
Nasty stuff to add to my grappling arsenal
I didn't realise how much I loved catch wrestling. However I have used these techniques repeatedly in training. Little bit more aggressive and brutal than BJJ which appeals to me
This video is a must have for CACC practioners, or any grappler looking to expand their technique repertoire.
I was surprised at the quality of this instructional. I mean love Jake Shannon(I've bought all of his stuff), but this one was just fantastic. It's Danaher instruction quality and for a much lower price. These techniques are brutal, efficient, mma applicable, well-explained, and all about control that leads to submission. What more could you ask for? Buy it.
Awesome content ! Great way to incorporate some catch wrestling into your jiu jitsu
It is nice to see an instructional on BJJ fanatics that focuses on a different grappling style.
Am extremely passionate about learning catch wrestling! Unfortunately due to the lockdown I’m unable to drill physically. However Jake’s clear and concise instruction make things very easy to understand. I highly recommended Jakes videos on TAKEDOWNS, SUBMISSIONS aswell. Thanks BJJ fanatics and thanks again to Coach Jake 👊🙏
My title is a little silly, but we all know that some grapplers are a little more sadistic than others. Just like Shannon's earlier DVD, Catch Wrestling Submissions, these techniques are going to be a little more violent than your average BJJ instructional. Many of the submissions in this tape are neck cranks, which might not be allowed in your school or your tournaments, but there are also many notes here on control and transitions - I'm sure you can find value from these techniques even if some of the submissions won't be allowed where you train. There are also great choke setups here which you shouldn't have an issue using. My favorite technique is the Frank Gotch Twister, which is a further nelson crank that mechanically resembles but is visually distinct from the more well-known Eddie Bravo-style twister. Highly recommended for any fans of more violent grappling styles!
