this course opened my eyes to the technique and quickly transferred them into real skills
Very good
Having trained for almost 20 years...John provides a great explanation on the small details that are needed to master the armbar from all positions. Great stuff that every level can learn from. Excellent job Professor.
amazing stuff
yes
great
Pure gold! John will level up your game. He has a great teaching style and deep knowledge. Better than every wrestling instructional.
Great system technique clear instructions
The integration with the other components of the system makes this a integral part of my style. With the variety of techniques and ideas about proper positioning as well as intricate details for opening the defensive grips and breaking the elbow, makes this a series that I frequently revisit.
If you want to master the arm bar, then you need this instructional. Its one of the high percentage submissions and everyone should be a master of it.
great
Professor John Danaher gives you all the tools you need to make the armbar work out of every spot. With high petcentage submitting rate and very low percentage risk. He mainly focusses on control based methods but also offers you speed based methods. He points out every stage of the techniques super sharp and teaches you what rwally matters and what do not. In this way you can increase your focus an details that really make the diffetence. I have knee and hip issues and before I watched this manual I lost the armbars from sidecontrol 95% of the time. Although this is not my go to technique I am able to hit them 3 times more! Thanks to the great details and concepts!!
My god, I could only ever get an armbar on day 1 Bjj guys. Something never clicked for me, I'd try and try and try and as my coach for advice and that got me closer to getting it. Watching Johns instructional helps to paint a beautiful picture of where you should be headed and how to get there. I can't imagine how costly it would be for a private one on one lesson with the master. He gets into it, and guides you along the way. This helped me immensely as I was able to land arm bars and also defend them too. Something clicked with my body and knowledge from my coach and this instructional. If you're having a terrible time landing the submission, pick this up. Watch, take notes and practise, practise, practise.
Excellent! John Danaher gives a lot of details and explains things so clearly, that now I know exactly how to do an arm bar
I got this instructional as part of a bundle and I'e found it very helpful in improving my armbars and conceptual understanding. Always something to learn!
Was hitting arm bars with shoulder control the week I got this. Highly recommend.
I bought this instructional years ago and just started applying it in the gym. My teammates were surprised by how controlled my armlocks turned
Danaher always brings so much info to his instructional and the quality of his coaching is world class
Another great Instructional!
Greatly increased my understanding of armbars from every position.
For me as a white belt its not always easy to just watch a move and easily apply it in the training. But just watching the mechanical principles turned me from losing every arm bar in live sparring to the following comment from a purple belt: "His legs are so strong, you never get out." Even if I couldn't finish the arm bar, this was my biggest improvement in the sport so far.
So much info. I had to watch it over and over. However, I felt bad for Placido. John seemed a bit rough with him in some sections.
Like always, John provides a lot of good details explained via repetition in various ways. The breakdown and progression of the video help with retention. The manner in which this is presented allow for consumption and retention without immediately having to go out and practice movements.
Love it, use it, teach it.
The more I hang around black belts the more I hear them talk about advanced fundamentals. And nobody goes into the details of explaining what that means better than John Danaher
