Very practical and effective. Help reset the game.
Great instructional, Lachlns teaching style is entertaining and easy to grasp.
Lachlan has a fantastic understanding of BJJ (obviously), but he has an equally solid understanding of how to teach, and what a white belt needs to learn. I really appreciate the logical progression to the escapes, that can then be linked together. I like the accuracy of the bookmarks. I like the detail that he goes into. I like the fact that he only says things once then leaves the rewinding up to us. I dont understand why half guard isnt in this escapes instructional (or others for that matter e.g danaher) - but on the premise of the 30 day returns policy I gave this a shot, and also bought the 'Half guard anthology' to fill the gap, while also building a full half guard game. All I can say is - I'm glad I did. Props to Lachy. I only hope some day I get the chance to train/roll with him in person
Really Great Instructional which is helping me stay in the game longer when I've gotten myself into bad positions.
This has really helped me with my escape game. Very clear explanations and very comprehensive. A must have for any collection.
Simply the best.....
super helpful. awesome explanation of principles and mechanical details.
I weigh 135 and these techniques produced the most immediate improvement in my escape results.
The format and pacing of this instructional is perfect. Some of the concepts were new to me or explained in a way that allowed me to see a different dimension to the concept/move.
as usual, Lachlan Giles delivery an amazing product. one of the best outside there about this topic.
One of my favorite bjj teachers. i find myself going back to Lachlan's videos to troubleshoot time and time again.
With this instructional Lachlan has made it easy to troubleshoot your escapes. He has covered a great deal of every common defensive position and as the sections are well marked it is easy to find the right part. And there is both examples for gi and nogi, plus the rolling footage with Lachlans commentary is great, because you get to see the technique done in action. All in all, I think this instructional provides great tools to improve your defensive skills.
Great video series. He gives great insight on how to practice the techniques in small components in order to be aware of different types of attacks and how to respond to them . As an older grappler this system will give me the tools to not only survive escapes but attack as well...
Great instructionals
I am a one stripe white belt. I have tried to learn several escapes from common control positions before but found them very hit and miss in actual rolling - especially as a small person. Lachlan goes into a lot of detail and a large number of scenarios so that I can see where the basic escapes have been failing me, understand why and work to correct my game. I love that he is also not a giant but has had success in ultimate weight class competitions so that I know his methods are biomechanically sound for those of us that are lighter.
Great details
Worth the price. He gives out detailed and easy to follow instructions on how you can escape most common and advance submissions and if you ever find yourself in these bad spots. Highly recommended!
I like that Lachlan Giles thinks of how people will be coming back to watch the videos again and lays things out well from position to position. Good techniques and concepts.
Brilliant instructional which can be used at all levels. Lachlan is so good at explaining the escapes and concepts in both gi and no gi, highly recommended!
Lachlan does it again, so much useful stuff with advice on what to look for and the reaction to it.
Lachlan is a very very talented instructor, His escapes instructional has helped my game a lot
This was the first instructional i bought about 3-4 months after starting bjj and it helped my understanding of the basic positions of bjj tremendously. This instructional is primarily about escapes and does a great job with that but the real value is in Lachlan's teaching style. Because he goes into so much detail on each position and doesn't just simply outline basic escape techniques he provides you with a vast conceptual understanding of each main position that translates not only into your escapes, but also into your offense so that you can better control and submit your opponent from these positions. Would recommend this to anyone looking to get better at bjj, well worth it. Thanks Lachlan!
Great video. It shows gi and no gi variations to technique. Also there is a section with narrated sparring to review how to use the moves against a live opponent.
You can't go wrong with any of Lachlan's videos. The content is always great and the production quality is probably the best in the business. I immediately began to implement escapes from this series in class with good success. Highly recommended.
Great details.
