I'm over 50, so half guard passing is my go to, and John Danaher presents a clear system to accomplish this
I found a helluva lot of value from this instructional series. I find that I can now consistently force half guard top and know what moves I need to do to pass from there. It has helped me as a jiujitsu practitioner as it also informs how I ought to play half guard bottom.
No matter what belt, these concepts hold throughout your Jiu Jitzu career. Without them you have holes that will never be filled.
Not only does John provide great detail on his algorithmic approach but he also gives you a set of objectives so that you always know where and why you are working towards something. A well organized and structured instructional.
Another awesome instructional. Such fine details
Masterclass instructional! I have quite a few of Danaher’s instructionals & they’re all excellent but 1/2 guard passing is the one that I used successfully in live training right away!
Great fundamental video on these essential skills.
Still working my way through this one but it is excellent
Thanks for great techniques Useful and effective technique make me stronger half Guard passer I cannot wait John's next instruction
This is an incredible video in typical John Danaher style. He is extremely articulate and thorough in explaining all the intricate details of his system. His knowledge is in the upper echelons, and he is a tremendous teacher.
Fantastic! Very clear and easy to understand.
Total Game Changer!
Very good
stop
The system he presents is simple enough to remeber and the moves themselves are easy to execute. Mastering this style of passing will take years but the blueprint of how to effectivly use half guard passing is all here. Essential viewing and the best from the GFF series IMO
This is one I go back to all the time for the fundamentals of half guard passing. These guys with Danaher do it better than anyone and it's great to learn from them.
Excellent
World best instructor’s class about gaurd pass.
Wish I had this instructional as a white belt, highly recommended also to the coloured belts. Danaher teaching stye is one of a kind. It is not entertaining, but his understanding of the body dynamics and details he point out are astonishing and keep you engaged..
Detailed but simple ways to pass most half guards the best way. If you learn any passing style half guard is almost certainly the best overall, so get good at it by knowing exactly what to do. You’ll keep coming back to watch as a reference. The concept of dynamic pinning was also eye opening.
This is one of my favourite instructionals. The pinning element helped improve my top game immediately and half guard passing is now my go to method of passing the guard. Brilliant product and can't recommend it enough.
Awesome instructional with so many details.
Definitely has given me vital skills to control the top position. Also has given me a better understanding from working from bottom
Awesome video!
Watching this instructional was hands down the best thing I ever did for immediately improving my bjj game (both in and out of the gi) - both from the perspective of being able to much more easily pass guard, and being able to get into a stable mount on opponents, even much stronger than me.
