Nice info from Danaher as usual. Very philosophical.
Lots of great details to help with mount control and submissions.
Changed my game. Excellent. 10/10
Our instructor has taught Mount based on this system and I decided to pick it up myself to study some details on my own. The system is relatively easy to implement and I have already found my own favorite "sequences" of control grips to submissions.
Danaher goes through the techniques, and strategies on how to retain and finish from the mount.
If you can get past Danaher’s style then you have a great mount instructional that is different from everything else out there. This isn’t so much an encyclopaedia of techniques but rather a thesis on how to maximise your mount game.
John is an amazing teacher and this instructional is a must watch! He goes in depth on his way of teaching mount and gives a new perspective on what goals you want to achieve from that position. A must see!
Great instructional video. The in-depth breakdowns of the concepts behind the movements and the small details that are a major part of success for each of the moves are great.
Clear and concise instructions, great techniques
Nothing short of the expectations! The fantastic John with even more fantastic instructions!
Easily implementable techniques
Great instructional
Really helped my top pressure from mount
For a while in regards to sport BJJ (no strikes), I have always favored side mount over traditional mount for the amount of stability it offered. However, John changed my mind with this video. I have immediately implemented this and have seen results just on control alone (never mind the 4x4 dilemma it offers). Crucifix (or stepping over the head) from side control offers a similar dilemma but not as impactful. You can really fatigue and slow down the game of your opponent which makes the subs much easier to come by as opposed to forcing it and fatiguing yourself in the process. He gave examples of Gordan and Roger, but Rickson and Mica Galvaeo have also shown what a good top game looks like (there're many others as well I am just naming a few). Great instructional
Really important after you learned how to defend yourself!
Very detailed and complete Mount Instructional. Like always Danaher emphasizes concepts and heuristics as well as techniques.
Best instructor available teaches the core concepts and philosophy behind attacking from mount
John Danaher never misses this really up'd my game and helped me coming up with plan on how to overcome certain situations
awesome course worth every dollar
Although this video is way above my current level, the teaching approach that Mr. Danaher brings to the material covered means that I will be coming back to rewatch the video over and over again to gain more insight into the strategies as I slowly come to better understand the concepts that he is presenting in this video series.
Danaher always brings so much info to his instructional and the quality of his coaching is world class
I was a back hunter...but now I'm looking for mount every chance I get!
This system of mount is one of the most revolutionary and genius systems I have seen. It’s simple, just a 4x4 step system that allows you to cause discomfort for your opponent and eventually force them to submit from the best position in Jiu Jitsu. The mechanics of this system are simply fascinating. John Danaher not only has an incredible mount system but is a even better teacher. He demonstrates and explains everything in such a way that makes sense and is easy to remember. I highly recommend this instructional.
Absolute gold, changed my game!!
This video is one of the best instructionals to date. This video breaks down the concepts into fine details that are extremely easy to follow. It explains how to get to mount, how to hold mount, and of course how to attack from mount. The breakdown of information is incredible. The on camera interactions between the instructor and his training partner are filmed very well.
