You already know the results of his students speak for themselves!!
Nice Combination of Body lock, torreando and float passing.
You already know! His team's results speak for themselves!
I've only been training for two years but always wanted to know how to deal with playing open guard when you can't make grips. In the gi, everything seems based around establishing a lapel or sleeve right off the bat. Well, how do you work a guard game without the cloth? John's videos are great for teaching you concepts and this one's no different. He effectively shows how to entangle the legs, even when you're not going for leg locks yet as a white belt, and get you into a guard game you can start playing effectively without gi grips. Love his material.
All danaher stuff is great. Lots of detail and a little monotone, but like an encyclopedia of knowledge. I'd like to see rolling footage since obviously demonstrations are different than live rolling. But great stuff! So many options
This is a good. However, after seeing Craig Jones' Power Ride instructional, I am attuned that some of these passes are more for scoring than for better control. You might win your match under certain rule sets, but I don't think some of these ideas will make you better for self-defense or MMA. That being said, you can still implement Danaher's excellent details for the leg riding game. He's incredible.
Great instructional
As always John shares the best knowledge!
Danaher is a master of carefully explaining each concept and not leaving anything out, or the student behind.
John Danaher is a fantastic teacher.
Guard passing is probably one of the hardest to learn and apply especially against someone skilled. Professor Danaher breaks it down to micro details to understand different situations and how to approach it. Definitely a must own instructional
Great stuff it’s nice to have a guide to passing no gi
Dope stuff Great having a guide to refer back too
The attention to detail and the consideration of a resisting opponent set it above similar videos. I highly recommend it!
I am a blue belt and have had so much success implementing the thing in this video. Worth the buckaroos for sure.
Danaher is one of the few that actually takes time to explain theory.
Fantastic tutorial as always with John Danahers videos. Provides tons of details in a systematic way . absolutely worth every cent you pay.
Outstanding details and instruction. The teaching is extremely clear, concise and easily understood. Highly recommend his instructionals.
I’m only half way through and I already feel as if there’s enough to be worth the cost of the instructional. It is so detail oriented and thorough but not in a way that’s painful or boring to sit through. I feel as if this is completely beginner friendly with advanced extensions on some of the positions just as well. There’s so much footage to this instructional that if you watch long enough you might start to see John’s hair grow back. Nothing but good things to say!
Since buying this instructional, I find myself time and time againg coming back to different chapters for clarity or refreshing my understaning of any givem pass I may have failed at. John does a great job strcuting everything from opening closed guard to passing half guard, kind of full circle in a way. You cantell John, Placido and everyone else behind the scenes had tons of fun filming. The jokes and banter really put a smile on your face. My afvourite of John's instructionals (which is saying a lot LOL), really cant reccomend this enough for EVERYONE at ANY belt.
Awesome guard pass instructional. Danaher is Danaher he knows!!! Thank you!!!
Great insight and explanations.
John outlines the best techniques and concepts to pass the guard of anyone, as always super detailed and complete.
Amazing content from John
I love Danaher’s New Wave serious as it showcases a more modern approach to BJJ and submission grappling. I love No-Gi and this has improved my No-Gi passing game immensely.
