John Danaher is one of the best coaches I have found online. However, I should add he is not for everyone. Danaher can have long drawn out (but very detailed) explanations for everything. If you thrive with information overload I highly recommend John Danaher. This instuctional changed the way I warm up in calss.
Fantastic stuff.
Thank you for providing this. Really great information here!
Some times we can't make it to train, or maybe you would like to drill at home but don't have a partner ( like me ). Then this is for you.
I can not count the number of times that I watched this set of videos and still find them useful every time I step on the mat

Ahead of his time
This video is perfect for building foundations of movement and maintaining mobility and flexibility. Can't recommend enough!
I cant train with partners while recovering from injury, but these drills keeps my mind on jiujitsu! Absolutely love it!
Very good when can't go to the gym.
Great explanation of basic movements.
Good drills and conceptual knowledge behind why we perform them!
Excellent for developing the motions, movements, and coordination essential for success in jiujitsu. You guys giving it to us for FREE is truly a blessing. Thank you.
What shadow boxing and bag work is to striking, this is to grappling. Great as a workout, warm up etc but still an opportunity to sharpen technique
Great material for times in which one needs to train alone. Well explained and good examples that show where an exercise can be used in a sparring situation.
Professor Danaher always puts out great products. Very articulate and thorough in explanation.
Great training while off the mats!
A great instructional to study when you cant train.
Something simple to do when you can't train.
I bought Prof. John Danaher's instruction for guard retention. He partly explains the concept behind guard retention likewise in this video. Highly recommend.
Danaher is a household name for the BJJ community. It’s amazing that this video is free. Thank you.
I wrestled for 13 years prior to starting jiu jitsu, so while I had some awareness and competence grappling a lot of the more basic movements and positions of jiu jitsu were new to me and were an adjustment. This video was a HUGE help for me going into my first few classes, not the least for making me feel more comfortable going through the warmup routines. This is definitely more than that though, John Danaher does a great job explaining why we bother doing these movements. What's the point of shrimping? When would I need to hip heist? He explains all of this so when you are just drilling on your own, which in my mind does make the drills more meaningful. There really is no downside to watching this, especially if you're just starting.
John is basically and amazing coach. The opportunity to get this article for free is just for everyone to get a small dosis of how good he is by explaining.
Great stuff. Absolutely worth it.
