love this product explains why we do what we do going to buy another Danaher video soon
There are some fundamentals (power shrimping, bridging for BJJ, etc.) that I was not doing correctly. Also so many important details and John Danaher is an absolute master at breaking it up, specially for a beginner as myself. Loved it.
Great tips
I wish i would have got this sooner. First off, a huge shout out and thank you for BJJ fanatics making this free to help us all out during this crazy time! I have been doing these drills now for the past three weeks and it has really pointed out and help me learn how I SHOULD be moving when I am training. I am a middle aged BJJ white belt and I need a lot of repetition on things to really get something down. These drills have been great and have pointed out o me some of the things I am doing wrong. It is great to keep you mentally engaged in the art while we are not able to train with our partners!.. Thank you again!
A great video
Excellent info and explanations !
Excellent video!
Loved it, thanks guys!
I’m staying home by virus now,so I didn’t have training partner. But this video help me solo training at home.
John is truly a master teacher! Please do a fundamentals video on entries and throws 😉
John Danaher took time out of his busy schedule training world champions to bring us Self Mastery: Solo BJJ Training Drills at a time that everyone needed help during the Corona Virus / COVID-19 quarantine. The drills are practical and by the time everyone gets back on the mat should have helped train and/or keep muscle memory to effectively execute techniques used by world champions. Cannot thank Mr. Danaher enough for his continued contributions to the community and as a paying member of some of his other works here on BJJ Fanatics, his content is worth every penny and he would have been well within his rights to charge for this. Take this contribution as yet another sign of how much he cares about this gentle art and his continued contributions to it.
Good basics to have.
Really appreciated this free download during the pandemic!! Very thorough and easy to understand, gave me some different ideas on how to get better in or out of the gym especially during quarantine!!
Wonderful
Excellent tittles to get some practice in during this quarantine times where the gym is not available.
A fantastic selection of solo drills to be done when isolated from training. Every movement and drill is expertly demonstrated and explained, as is to be expected from John Danaher, and shown alongside their live sparring contexts with an opponent. Many of the movements are familiar and usually done mindlessly as a warm up. This video series, however, shows you how to engage your mind when executing these moves to become an effective ‘shadow grappler’, accelerating your development in BJJ.
These drills were terrific - just what I needed whilst I'm at home. I feel that I am still working on my game! Thank you John.
thank you!
After restarting BJJ I was geared up and ready to go, attending 5-7 days a week when covid shut it down. I was pretty down about not being able to progress in any meaningful way when BJJ Fanatics and John Danaher released this solo drills video...FREE! What a game changer. All of a sudden I can develop the movements and skills needed. I love how John explains everything and cuts right down to the essence of every movement and drill. He always explains the why, which adds purpose and attention to the various aspects of each movement.
I'm very happy with it!!; it,s an amazing material
Great Video
Great at home drills!
it is great
Firstly, I am very appreciate of John providing this to the BJJ community during the COVID19 situation. Like he said in the intro, I have always used these movements in warmups and never really saw the link to live rolling. But after hearing and seeing all the little details he provided, I now know why they are so important. I could go on and on about how many refinements I've been able to make to these movements since watching this dvd. Thanks John and BJJ Fanatics.
Great material for solo drilling.
