Teaching one's own body to put natural and not so natural movements together is a badly needed tool in grappling. For some reason these drills are rare yet they can give significant yields to the serious BJJ practitioner. I could't be happier with this gem from Mr. J. Danaher.
I am a big fan of Danaher’s instructionals. Since this was a solo training instructional, I expected it to be less content dense but was pleasantly surprised. Not only does it show some great exercises for staying physically and mentally in shape while unable to train, it does a great job of providing the context in which they are directly applicable. As always, I also felt that I had a greater understanding of certain core concepts than I had previously had. Would highly recommend.
This is for you
If anytime you can't go to gym, you can use these great, instructional videos for your morning exercises in addition to those you do at your gym. Plus, Danaher is very insightful with the reasoning behind the methodology and the purpose of these drills.
I'm very new to Jiu Jitsu, and the COVID-19 shutdown started shortly after I began. I've only done striking before and wanted to get a more all-around game. Finding these videos came at the perfect time for that. If you're someone looking to build fundamentals and are kind of intimidated of going to the gym, or are looking for something to build your base, this will likely help. Haven't gotten through all 6 parts yet but hope to ASAP! Start with these free videos to see what else you can gain!
Detailled and Free release. Love it !
Good drills and good explains
Great stuff in these strange times.
Amazing tutorial, I am very fortunate to have been able to see it and for free. Probably the most import tutorial for any beginner. Thanks again!
Danaher at his finest
Excellent
Great stuff. Just because you are alone does not mean you can't train. This is being extremely helpful in these past weeks
Aside from laying out a good workout plan out of the mats, the effort to breakdown the movements and put them in a context of "shadow grappling", makes this instructional deliver much more than a simple physical exercise routine, but introduces a different approach to understand a think about jiu-jitsu.
This is a must!! If you can't do the drills on this series, you need to learn them. And the sooner you learn them the better.
Legit, Helpful Drills ,
this videos are great because John didn't just focus in some drills and excersises he went beyond and gave an explanation about why and how to perform de solo drills and explain it's conection with the real fight and the limitations of the drills. great material.
Great video that covers fundamental movements they may not have time to cover when you are in a group class.
Greatly appreciated how BJJ fanatics has been given the BJJ community awesome discounts on their products.
Excellent
These are movements that I never used playing other sports and they were somewhat unnatural for me at first. Working through the videos has helped me understand and implement movements that will undoubtedly help my jiu jitsu.
Sick, than you John and Bernardo for all you help. You've done a lot for the Bjj community.
Fantastic!!!
Very good video, good exercice to practice at home
