Well organized video that lets you jump back to certain techniques without having to rewatch the entire video to find something. I particularly like the organization and presentation of his concepts. I managed to snag it a bit ago for about 40 dollars thanks to some deals and I have since gone through it and watched the individual bits that were most important to me. I really didn’t know what to do guard wise so I picked it up and now my half guard is the best part of my white belt game. It has so much information that any question you come across will likely be answered within it.

Great instructional Lachlan's attention to detail is amazing. He has so much information in this video that covers not only techniques but trouble shooting your opponents reactions. I constantly re-watch for details I might have missed the first time going through the instructional. Can't recommend this video enough.

So its a reference. Whenever something happens in half guard that you don't have an answer for then come to the video for help. Also the editing .... very to the point no endless droning on. We can rewatch it if we choose. If I made a instructional I'd just copy how giles does it.

It would be Lachlan GIles' Half Guard Anthology. It covers so much information and is so densely packed with how to use the half guard to get to other, connected positions. Also, looking back historically, Lachlan gives clear and concise instructions and shows the techniques in sparring. This is without a doubt, one of the most influential instructionals I have ever watched and typically if Lachlan has something to say about Jiu Jitsu, I am listening. Intently.
