There's a reason this guy was undefeated, undisputed, never lost a minute of a round. **** of a coach!
Like a lot of BJJ practitioner my wrestling knowledge was extremely limited so this was just what I needed for a better understanding of basic wrestling techniques and tactics.
As someone who didn't wrestle growing up in a club where most of the students have pretty extensive wrestling this instructional has been a gigantic help. Great, easy to implement basics, and Chael is a fantastic instructor
Amazing Instructional from the Bad Guy!
tons of great contents, from a great teacher, at a great price. you can't have none to few better deals on this site.
Useful
Chael is a fantastic instructor, extremely knowledgeable, down to earth, and likeable. Get this instructional if you need to learn how to wrestle.
No one else covers so much of wrestling in such short time. I always appreciate tips on leg riding, offense and defence. Several other techniques included in this series are just great. Five stars!
Great video
A really good instructional for anyone looking to start wrestling. Covers the basics of stance, motion, grips and core concepts of wrestling
Uncle Chael is an extremely talented coach and his ability to explain helps my understanding exponentially. It has given me a good foundation to start wrestling.
Chael gives you a good insight into what wrestling is, how techniques are performed. For beginners of BJJ it is a good introduction into the lingo of wrestling so if nothing else you have an idea of what your professor are talking about during training.
Everything is well explained and kept simple. Doesn't add in 90 extra things that just cloud up the goal. I've used everything when rolling Bjj and it all functions and I feel comfortable going for it because it's not over explained, making me think about every little thing.
A good overview of wrestling
Great video, easy to follow and entertaining. For sure improved my game in bjj.
I like Chael's clear and fast-paced coaching style. As a BJJ practitioner without wrestling background, this was a good intro to the art. However I'll need more material to understand deeper. Like which tactics to choose, how to feint and get the openings etc. Would still recommend this video for another wrestling newbie.
I did not have the opportunity to wrestle in high school. This program had so many tid-bits in in that have been a great addition to my bjj game. A very surprising and well done get from bjj Fanatics!
I thought that this was a great introduction to wrestling whether for freestyle or bjj.
As a non wrestler Chael Sonnen’s coaching style is very helpful. I’d like more basics and drills in a future volume.
Chael is very good teaching and he really knows what he is taking about. There are some things here that are useful not only in wrestling, but in Jiu Jitsu as well. Highly recommend.
Chael is entertaining as always. Realistic scenarios of chain wrestling. Enough detail to understand the how and why.
If you're a smaller guy like me, who's also not too confident in their takedowns. This instructional will definitely be a great help. Chael explains the techniques well without being boring about it and provides clear breakdowns on the smallest details of each. I would highly recommend this to anyone who's trying to improve their takedowns.
Enthusiastic instructor who keeps the viewer engaged, no boring filler. Great for people who need a starting point in wrestling.
I have not watched the whole video yet but what I’ve seen is useful.
Love the simplicity of these tactics. Perfect for someone learning wrestling for the first time!!!
