I have purchased nearly all of John Danaher's instructional videos and have yet to be disappointed. His attention to detail is unsurpassed.
the princiles and minute details that Johd Danaher expounds are game changers!
Great instructional!
Great instructional for any level will improve your ability to escape pin positions and will allow you to become more confident at attempting sweeps and submissions.
This was the very first instructional I ever studied when starting BJJ. I’ve come back to it for certain concepts time after time again. It is an absolute wealth of knowledge spread out over the course of concise, very organized sections. This instructional is great no matter where you are in your grappling career. I especially appreciated it starting out as I think it helped me not spend so much time in terrible positions and actually escape to positions where I can start working my offense. Would highly recommend.
I felt I was constantly getting crushed in side control so I figured i'd give this a shot. Helped tremendously with various types of side control, sit outs and great theory as to how to think about escaping side.
I know some folks don't like the way Professor Danaher speaks or the repetitive nature of his videos, but I personally love it. He presents not only great detail in the exact movements, but presents concepts and general philosophies that help the us to grow in all the ways Jiu Jitsu does. I am a white belt of only a few months, but I'll be watching this years and more of professor Danaher's content in general I'm sure!
Very useful explanations that I have been able to implement in classes with great success
Truly improved my game significantly. Absolutely highly recommended! Thank you so much John Danaher!
As a fairly new white belt I appreciated the thoroughness of his explanations
I'm very new to bjj and this instructional has been really helpful. Everything from abstract concepts about the principles of escape to specific details about a given technique is concise and very thoroughly thought out.
Anyone and everyone will find this instructional helpful
Despite the fact that beginners are more interested in learn the latest crazy new submissions the truth is that without developing their escapes they will never get the change to practice them and as with most subjects related to BJJ John Danaher provides the very highest level of instruction.
The level of detail he provides, really helped me understand the problems I was having. Would recommend this to any beginner. Just pace yourself.
I would recommend this to anyone at any level! There’s so many details in each technique and the concepts are amazing!
This is the base of any good BJJ player. Positional escapes lay the foundation of good defense.
Very detailed and thoughtful overview of major escapes. Really helped me focus my game.
As usual, John has done a really great job of gathering all information you’ll ever need about the subject at hand: escaping pins. It’s all there, don’t look anywhere else, and the techniques he teaches are tested in world level competition. It’s a must have.
This Pin escapes and turtle escapes video from John Danaher is awesome, it really opened my eyes to all the possibilities and ways to escape. Straightforward and easy to understand, but also appeals to those wanting a very technical approach. I found particularly interesting the part about what JD calls a rising shrimp and how it plays into formulating a better escape tactic for certain scenarios.
As a 140lb 46 year old, I have found this instructional very helpful, it has really helped me to get out of bad positions and negate a lot of the pressure people sometimes apply.
Amazing tutorial! Has helped me become more aggressive with submissions because I feel I can escape any position if I am reversed
I just want to quickly say that this instructional gave me the ability to survive BJJ classes long enough so that I could actually learn and start progressing. The pin escapes series teaches you how to get comfortable (as much as that's possible lol) in those super uncomfortable positions and survive, and after some time I noticed that my peers can not hold me down for too long before I start putting them back in my guard. Absolutely essential skillset for every beginner. GREAT INSTRUCTIONAL!
For where I am at in grappling, this instructional has been the most impactful in my improvement from when I watched it two-three years ago.
Really Enjoyed watching this tutorial, it had a breakdown of so many moves that I now have a better understanding of the mechanics. Guys a Genius! Strongly recommend!
Systematic, detail oriented and breakdowned in a manner everyone can aquire!
