If you are wanting to explore half guard you really can not go wrong with this set. I have got a lot of half guard sets and this is one of the best out there. What makes it different is after each main technique, lachlan will show you him using it in live sparring or comp. This really helps breakdown the technique in a live roll and the timing needed to use it. Not many sets have this and it makes a big difference in learning. If the amount of techniques this is a whole gameplan for half guard. This set would be my first recommendation.
Lachlin is the best instructional out there for fundamentals. Even as someone who has been doing BJJ for 12 years I always find something new in his videos.
Video well structured, with real examples and commentary. Excellent instruction.
There is so much detail in this isntructional it has made my half guard sweeps and retention really good. Awesome Lachlan.
everything you need to know about half guard!
Many great concepts of half guard. Lachlan is a great instructor and knows how to share his knowledge. I love dvd's like that, when instructor shows lots of details.
Great Instructional
All of Lachlans stuff is great and the way he breaks it down is amazing. I’m barely through even a single part and my game has started improving. Get this instructional.
Ton of content and well explained. Great deal
Lachlan is perhaps the clearest instructor I have encountered and his instructionals are well-structured and concise, without sacrificing any detail
So much content!
Lachlan’s breakdown of the knee shield half guard completely changed the way I roll. Like a curtain pulled back, and the presentation is excellent.
Super wideo
It's the best reference book you can buy. There Are so many teqniques with proper explanation in it, but also so many transition and game plans. You need quite the patience to get through with it and don't feel lost. The price for is more than fair. One of my best purchases
Almost more of an open guard strategy than what people would think of as half guard. Took my guard game from subpar to one of the best in the gym. I particularly liked the shin to shin entries and options. The breadth of content including narrated rolls shows that Lachlan truly loves to teach and has a wealth of knowledge. The price point versus value is better than all of the other 30ish instructionals I’ve purchased, since most are either very pricey or skimpy on the content. Again, everyone should buy this - thank you Lachlan Giles for leveling up my game.
A bit long winded
Great content by Lachlan!
Excellent, clear detailed instructional. Amazing value too. If you are looking for a half guard instructional, this is the one. Just buy it already.
Absolute gold, changed my game!!
Huge amount of moves and drills. But for me it was hard to find the moves that I should be focused on( high percentage).
Highly in-depth instructional so much information you’ll be studying and mastering for years
Lachlan is an amazing teacher. Must have material for anyone looking to develop half guard game. easy to follow. lots of details. and lots of doors opened for me to learn and dig into.
Great deal, lots of really good explanations. The way it's set up makes it easy to watch for a few min of instruction, watch a few minutes of the technique in live rolls and then pause to drill it with a partner. Highly recommend
Lachlan has a way of explaining things to where even those with learning disabilities, like myself, can understand. This training is no exception.
this instructional is packed with good info of bottom half guard highly recommend it
