Never disappointed with Danahers wealth of information
Excellent instructional. Fundamentals very well explained in logical order.
He is one of the best coach in the world. I wish I bought his videos earlier.
One of my biggest frustrations as a white belt was how easily people passed my guard and pinned me so quickly. Now with this course I have a plan and have significantly upgraded my guard retention game.
Danaher is so thorough! No details he does not cover. Genius instruction! Excellent!
Highly recommend this course, has helped me alot as a begginer.
With all of the criticism of educators in today's world (some for good reason)....there is a reason WHY educators are paid big $$$. Because they can TEACH. Being a world class practitioner, doesn't make you a world class instructor. Being an experienced teacher, and a high level black belt - is a lethal combination. That's what you get from John's video courses. There is no-one better at breaking down and explaining the concepts of bjj. Buy the video, watch and re-watch.
Love the way John breaks everything down and covers all the details.
I enjoy learning from John, the way he breaks down the moves and the way he puts it all into pricinples makes it easy to learn and remember
6 months into my BJJ journey, these videos are a fantastic resource
Danaher is mezmerizing, like listening to Bach. He condenses infomation into the most basic form and delivers it so clearly, really great.
Having a number of John Danaher instructional I am alway prepared for a college level education of the specific position/techniques. I appreciate the level of detail and full breakdown on each category. The time required for watching anything Danaher has a delayed payoff, meaning, there are instructions where you can learn a technique before class and most likely pull off something close to it, and most likely forget it because it is one technique for one possible outcome…not my experience with Danaher material. My experience with Danaher material is…you spend the time actually learning, digesting, and understanding the material, it becomes part of your long term memory which allows you to see the opponents techniques coming or possible options they have; I also make an index card of the specific areas I want to remember by writing a brief description and where I found it, and the I keep it in a box Under Heading like Guards, submissions, technique chains, etc.. Guard Retention allows you to be efficient and calm and to funnel your opponent to your preferred system…no stone is left unturned with GFF - Guard Retention.
A superb guard retention instructional. I really enjoy Mr Danaher‘s teaching style.
Guard retention is a crucial skill to learn early on in your BJJ career. Like always, John Danaher doesn't disappoint with amazing instruction. This is a must have!
amazing
Fantastic explanations and guard retention breakdown from the most brilliant mind jiu jitsu has to offer. This (as well as every other Danaher DVD) is a must!
As a fairly new white belt I appreciated the thoroughness of his explanations
This is the single best video I bought here so far. I improved my gaurd immensely doing every drill taught here everyday. This got me my blue belt. I keep return back to this video to gain more understanding of guard retention. Hooyah John.
As always the way John explains the principles is so valuable to understanding the technique. I could start seeing improvements just through those understandings. Highly recommend. As my professor says you don’t have to worry about escaping if your guard isn’t passed.
Excellent instructional. Pro-Tip listen a 1.5x speed.
Fundamental, Essential, Clear explanations. Danaher is in my ear always through instructional series like this.
Great instructional! I like how John teaches general concepts as well as retention against specific guard passes. Also, there is much more information on John's instructionals compared to some others. This one is no exception.
Great
A detailed instructional program from the best teacher! Pure gold Oss:call_me_hand::call_me_hand::call_me_hand:
John Danaher is the best teacher and explains things so clearly while putting it in a way that means you will be able to copy it. His videos complement what I learn from my coach perfectly.
