Easily the best instructional going around I believe.
Danaher is always awesome, but he is particularly so here with simpler techniques. This has been so helpful for an older guy with an injured lower back like me.
As a practitioner who spent two years battling cancer this is amazing for me. My body became broken and I don’t move like I once did. This allows me to train still and be effective while I work on getting strength back.
Best instructional I have by far
Just in depth and awesome as always
Very helpful stuff for mobility compromised folks
Best instructional I own. I think a disservice with the listed title. Tech applies to everyone.
The Part with the half guard in the gi alone makes it worth it. The Go Further Faster Half Guard was one of Danahers first dvds and you feel it. It was not so systematic build like the Ageless Jiu-Jitsu Bottom Game Gi dvd. Though it had more details and tecniques. So if you watch both, you will build a devestating half guard. With other sections this is true as well. The old dvds are good and you get new strategies and patterns here to apply the old knowledge.
I find this to be my favourite. It covers a lot of useful material.
I'm a smaller, unathletic guy who is usually weaker than most of his opponents and I found this series of instructionals to be very good. I have been using the techniques and tactics shown in this series to great success against bigger, stronger opponents. This is a great series if you want to focus funneling opponents to a well developed half-guard heavy game. I think this series would also be a great intro to BJJ bundle because Danaher talks about positional escapes, survival in bad positions, guard retention, sweeps, guard passes, attacks, and even a brief overview of takedowns in the gi. It may even be a better BJJ fundamental series than Danaher's Go Farther Faster series for some people because he talks much less while still getting across the main points and the "why" behind the moves and tactics very well.
This an excellent addition to your education. John Danaher is an amazing instructor and this video series goes above and beyond my expectations.
From the very best, great instructional
A must for everyone
Very detailed but super useful with technical details. All the sections piece together and refer back to a common theme / system / way of playing which has been invaluable to my learning lately. That kind of structure is what many instructional miss, show you a bunch of moves but not link back to the common concept and how they all tie together. Seen a big improvement since using this in the last 3 weeks alone as I get ready for my first competition!
Covers Gi and Nogi, top and bottom. Very detailed. Great instructionals, highly recommend
Ageless Jiu Jitsu
Good price on a bundle of detailed basics
Supremely detailed and well thought out.
I haven't had this bundle for long and have not finished it, but I have already implemented some of what Danaher has been teaching. And already my game has changed. I was able to frustrated and defeat a bigger, fitter teen. And for the adults, I still struggle, but I am tapping less frequently and they are noting my improvement. Worth watching and re-watching.
There's a lot of information here, so it can feel overwhelming. But already I have implemented some of what Danaher teaches in this big bundle and have already seen some changes to my game. Last week, I was able to frustrate and defeat a taller, fitter teenager whom I had difficulties with. And while I still struggle against bigger, younger, stronger opponents, I'm am tapping less frequently and my training partners have noted a difference already.
So much detail from a world class instructor is priceless.
An excellent series to focus on controlling more athletic opponents.
Outstanding
