Incredibly insightful, helpful, and detailed.
This bundle really enhanced my game, instead of aimlessly addressing my stand up until ending up on the ground.
👍
John Danaher provides a master class on the standing position, there's also some great information for personal defense.
Good details on off balancing
Danahaer as usual covers a lot of material but it's totally worth it to study this instructional you will be able to actually have a standing game.
This curriculum is fantastic. I grew up wrestling and while there are many parallels for takedowns, that blasted gi changes things quite a bit. Danaher not only provides you moves to hit but a method to execute them. That’s why this is the best curriculum you can buy.
So much detail it’s easy to get lost however each time you come back to the video you pick up on something new
My stand up game improved tremendously from where it was. This instructional is very detailed and broken down very well. It’s easy to understand and implement.
great details
I used to be anxious and worried when standing. Now after this course I love standing up.
Great instructional by John Danaher as usual, he goes deep into take downs for BJJ and there's some good stuff on personal defense too.
Nice
Danaher covers a lot of ground on take downs for BJJ and there is also a good section about self defense take downs.
John Danaher is the best BJJ instructor and he does a great job here.
One of the best instructionals I have see. Danaher covers everything you need to know to be effective in the standing position, he also gives you a very good self defense course here.
professor Danaher as with all his other instructionals takes a step by step approach in clearly and concisely giving a roadmap for success. many instructional videos just throw you in the deep end of a technique without explaining the principles and skills required to be successful with them.
very in depth and well explained
the bible of gi takedown tactics for bjj
JOHN DANAHER PROVIDES A VERY COMPLETE SYSTEM FOR THE STANDING POSITION IN JIU JITSU OR JUDO
There is truly a ton to learn from this, at least if you are still new to BJJ as I am. It will probably take me a few years to get through it. I found the intro section on stances (ai-yotsu and kenka-yotsu) super helpful as some people don’t address this. Overall a lot to learn but definitely glad I bought it.
This is essentially a compendium of the most high percentage take downs, guard pulls, and defensive tactics useful in gi jiu jitsu rule sets. You could watch the whole thing or find the material most suitable to your standing game; either way, the details are amazing and sure to help you improve.
Much needed
Studying these videos has allowed me to compete with sparring partners who are much better and much more experienced than me at bjj standup. My stand up game now has a focus and a plan. I have only covered 30% of the material but plan to cover it all throughout the next year. John Danaher explains things so clearly.
I haven't finished the course just yet, but with the few hours I've spent studying this has made noticeable improvement in my takedown game.
