Response from BJJ Fanatics:hugging::+1::skin-tone-2:Fundamentals with an Attitude
Learning the fundamentals from an old school legend is a privilege. Kurt Osiander shows the basics, and then some, with the attitude that all who know him will truly appreciate.
Fundamentals of a jiu jitsu renegade
This has been awesome so far! The techniques play right into me style. Kurt is a great instructor.
Perfect beginner's programm and details for advanced students too
K. O. created a great compilation with wisely chosen techniques for the most common szenarios. Closed guard. Sit up guard. Mount. Side Control. Back control Escapes. Mount and side control escapes. Guard passing. You could develop a whole gameplan out of it. And use this material to explore the fundamental principles. Highly recommend!
Solid Jiu Jitsu Renegade
A good video that will give you simple examples and explanations to immediately execute and attack the next time you’re on the mat!
Upped my game
Kurt has a great way of explaining technique and sticks to what works I love his way of teaching ever since I stared watching him on YouTube
“Go train!”
This is the only instructional you really need, I was familiar with Kurt Osiander from his Move of the week series and the documentaries on YouTube, so when I actually found a school and started training I picked up this dvd to try aid my progress. I’d apply the techniques I’d seen in this dvd that covers the importance of closed guard, sweeps, escapes and submissions, after a while my coach told me while rolling “you KNOW JiuJitsu”. This dvd comes on sale a bit it’s well worth the money, it’s fun and informative I really enjoy Kurt’s style, he likes a joke and trains hard. If you’ve seen his Instagram account or seen him on podcasts in the last few years he’s been going through some stuff and could use some support, this isn’t to drum up charity, this is well worth it for your own progress. My favourite from this dvd is the simple sweep with a cross collar grip because it sets up a triple attack(cross collar choke/arm bar/super cross collar choke) from mount after using the closed guard effectively. Also shout out to the assassin beetle roll. For reference I’m 6”0, 120kgs. This suits my style of using weight and pressure passing, controlling my opponent and “cooking” them using good positioning and then working for submissions. Thanks for putting this out Kurt, it was a fantastic reference when I was starting through to now, it’s also the stuff I show people starting out. “Go train!”
great for beginners
this is awesome for new guys like me super simple and hes got a nice sense of humor.
Response from BJJ Fanatics:hugging::+1::skin-tone-2:Takes the time to give
Takes the time to give thorough explanation over variation. This guy is tough tuna but takes into consideration that not everyone is going to get it right away. His layout and subtle humor makes for a great instructional video. Kurt is the cats pajamas.
Response from BJJ Fanatics:hugging::call_me_hand::skin-tone-2:Simple but amazing
He's naturally funny but knowledgeable. This one is worth it every time.
Old school cool
Kurt is the man. This is a fun one and worth it solely for watching for Kurt just being himself, AND some awesome technique. Check it out!

Great insight into Kurt’s approach to the fundamentals and some of the cooler stuff that Kurt’s refined
Response from BJJ Fanatics:hugging::+1::skin-tone-2:A different take on things
So cool to get a look at how Kurt goes through a variety of positions and submissions.

Response from BJJ Fanatics:hugging::call_me_hand::skin-tone-2:Kurt Osiander is my sprit animal
Excellent instructional! Kurt always puts out excellent content! I found the guard passing section particularly good.
Response from BJJ Fanatics:hugging::call_me_hand::skin-tone-2:Really great instruction
Really great instruction
Excellent video
Kurt does an outstanding job sharing his fundamentals with us. Love the charisma.
Response from BJJ Fanatics:hugging::+1::skin-tone-2:So far so good
Only on the fundamentals but so far everything is solid and Kurt gives good details and reasoning behind everything. "What to do if our opponent does X" type of things instead of just showing the move.
Response from BJJ Fanatics:hugging::call_me_hand::skin-tone-2:only the good stuff
man this instructional is awesome in detail and the techniques are applyable at any belt level
Response from BJJ Fanatics:hugging::call_me_hand::skin-tone-2:GET IT NOW!!
I will preface this review with the fact that I love Kurt Osiander. Kurt, while very irreverent, has a deep understanding of jiu jitsu principle and delivers on teaching some extremely helpful details that you may not have learned with your fundamentals learning. The sweeps from guard have GREAT details that I have not heard before. Either way, $38.50 is a BARGAIN for all the info included. Pull the trigger already, as it is cheaper than a tank of gas, when gas was $4/gallon.
Response from BJJ Fanatics:hugging::+1::skin-tone-2:Great deal
It's always on sale, and it's actually pretty great. He throws his jokes in to keep everything fresh, with some cool old-school stuff in the gi.
Response from BJJ Fanatics:hugging::+1::skin-tone-2:As good as his seminars
This set is loaded with great, simple and innovative techniques that don't require extensive flexibility or explosiveness. I've attended two seminars taught by Kurt and this DVD replicates that experience. His knowledge, desire for his students to learn, warmth and humility really come through here. I highly recommend both the DVD and his seminars.
Wisdom of a legend!
All that makes jujitsu great is on this video
