Great video
DVD is geared more toward wrestling and takedowns, not classic jiu jitsu.

Great
great content to learn standup handfighting
It's direct and effective
Has some great takedowns that aren't going for the legs. Effectively explained and demonstrated. Applicable to BJJ.
Hand fighting fundamentals includes a ton of information that is essential for wrestling in Jiu Jitsu. There were principles that I was immediately able to put into practice to improve my game.
like the way he builds of the technique and is direct
outstanding
Hand Fighting Fundamentals by Steve Mocco is a masterclass in controlling the pace and positioning of a match. Mocco brings his elite wrestling pedigree and breaks down the often-overlooked art of hand fighting into clear, digestible concepts that apply to both wrestling and grappling. The instructional covers not just movements, but intent—how to dominate space, create reactions, and wear down opponents through calculated pressure. His emphasis on posture, timing, and grip transitions gives this series real depth, whether you're a wrestler, BJJ practitioner, or MMA athlete. This is a must-watch if you're looking to build a relentless style from the feet and want to better understand how elite athletes impose their will before the takedown even happens. Mocco’s detail, intensity, and clarity make this a valuable addition to any grappler’s library.
Very useful for BJJ. No wonder Gordon Ryan recommended him.
Really Important stuff. I've got a fair bit of drilling to do now.
Good information on hand fighting and establishing your grips first to Initiate your attacks. Lots of drills included.
Really more stand up detail than pure hand fighting. Outstanding on stand up and take downs. Go Pokes!

great video on hand fighting
This video is high quality and the techniques are well explained and shown from different angles. The sound is good quality also and the Instructor is clear and easy to understand.
This stuff is great. For anyone familiar or unfamiliar with stand up this has got so much in it you will always use. I have started wrestling recently and it really helped me see opportunities, which translate to stand up bjj as well (and knee wrestling).
Game changer
Awesome instructional and insight to hand fighting
This is easily one of the most affordable hand fighting videos out there. Gives explanations of Single Collar, 2 on 1, and Underhooks positions. Explanations not only have to generate offense from those positions, but also how to clear them. Beyond that Mocco gives basics of footwork, and some of his favorite set-ups. I've yet to find a video on hand fighting that's more affordable. A great entrance into hand fighting, that being said this is hand fighting, so it's a video on how to set-up takedowns not how to actually shoot a takedown. This is great if you want to learn how to get the angle. Overall a very affordable and straight to the point video on hand fighting. Very little if any fluff.
