I'm glad John gave this to us back then.
absolutely the best way for anyone of any rank to increase their knowledge in when and how to move, and these solo drills translate to all of advanced techniques
Me salvou na pandemia quando disponibilizaram esse instrucional de graça. Melhorei muito e aprendi muitos fundamentos fazendo esses drills durante o isolamento
When I found myself stationed out here in South Dakota, stuck in the dorms and completely isolated from my usual training partners back home, I was honestly losing my mind trying to figure out how to keep my skills the last thing you want is for your movement to get rusty just because you don't have bodies to roll with every day. I picked up this instructional hoping for a temporary fix to my isolation, but it completely changed how I look at solo training. Let's be real—a lot of those traditional Brazilian warmups we've all been doing for years are honestly kind of ******. We just go through the motions because that's how class has always started. Danaher strips all that nonsense away. Instead of just giving you a random calisthenics routine, he actually breaks down the reasons why these specific movements are important. He connects every single solo drill directly to the mechanics of actual grappling, so you understand exactly what you are trying to accomplish with your body. This series is incredibly useful, not just for surviving a lack of training partners, but for actually making your body mechanics more efficient. Highly recommend it to anyone stuck training alone or who just wants to stop wasting time on pointless warmups.
Very detailed and practical solo drills. I used these while out of town for work conferences and away from a bjj gym.
Nice, practical drills to have. I used this while away on work conferences with no access to a BJJ gym.
Great body movement drills
Good
the best professors ever.
I have all my serious students watch this course. 20-30 minutes of supplementary solo drilling is one of the fastest ways to build effective body mechanics.

Great class
John Danaher's Self Master: Solo BJJ Training Drills is a great introduction into the world of BJJ. I found it very insightful as self-mastery involves the intention and reflection of the athlete. I most definitely recommend this to anyone who is curious about BJJ. My takeaway is, self-mastery does not occur overnight, rather, it requires deliberate consistency.
Great set of movements
