Very thorough and easy to follow.
Garry Tonon gives you a systematic approach for a topic which seems to be unsystematic out of the first view. He breaks down when to scrambe from position (standing) to submission and when directly to submission. He shows techniques and concepts to get the ultimate goal of jiu jitsu/submission wrestling starting from your feet. Highly technical kept simple! Highly recommend!
Nice job
If you’re a grappler who loves to takedown and find submissions-look no further. This video has everything you need to better your game! This one is one of my favorite purchases I’ve made on this site!
Very useful info !
Love it!
Garry is a phenomenal teacher. I love how he breaks down his taekdown system for grappling. Highly recommended!
Great instructional that focuses on submission specific grappling. If you are into no gi then this is where the game is evolving into. It’s no surprise that Gary Tonon is an excellent instructor given he has worked with Danaher and Tom Deblass and trainer Gordan Ryan. Must buy.
great
Really enjoying how much grappling is taking from wrestling, this is a must have.
Excellent instructional
Garry Tonon once again delivers an instructional that addresses an important but often overlooked topic!
This video proves why gary is allround player of grappling
Tonon's instructional has very creative entries from lower body and upper submissions from successful and failed takedowns. Also, he shows many counters from vulnerable positions like before and after being taken down. I was most impressed by how he utilized the funk roll and the many creative leg lock entries. If you want to improve your wrestling, scrambling, or leg locking, this is the instructional for you.
Garry is the master of scrambling and one of the most interesting grapplers to watch. He will teach you some of his tricks here! Enjoy!
I have all of Gary's instructionals, haven't been let yet down yet. Great detail and clear instruction
Tonon does an amazing job giving you options from multiple standing situations. The way he breaks it down is easy to digest and you can immediately begin to apply it to everyday roll! After this one I immediately got exit the system!
excellent stuff!
great
short and concise, but packed with information. Very good if you are new into wrestling aspect and just seeing how to connect everything together.
Well explained and extensive instructional on getting people to the mat.
Tonon packs in a lot of information. This was my first video by him, and I was really satisfied with the content. He covers a lot of different situations, so these takedowns seem really robust.
I wrestled in university and 8 years before that, and have been training bjj for the past 7 years. I have taken SO much from this instructional. So many details and strategies applicable to straight wrestling, but honed for submission grappling specifically. 10/10, I love this and it has helped me level up in so many ways.
as always garry go straight to the point and waist no time, ton of value for learning takedown for the particular context of BJJ. Thank you sir and bjjfanatics for amazing ressources
Garry will not teach techniques, but a blueprint from the standing to the transitioning and ending the game. Top notch
