Super accessible and usable content that is really well explained.
Lots of helpful pointers, insightful
Great instructional
This has been a great option from the guard. Super frustrating for opponent. Shawn is a wonderful teacher, very clear and concise.
He's one of the best there are at grappling. here's what he came up with. it's what gave birth to a lot of guards. great addition to full and rubber guard players
good
I wish there were more video's like this. Properly dissecting a (sub)-system and make it possible to add as much or as little as you want to your own game
Shawn Williams is one of the greatest teachers out there so it's a privilege to learn this very useful guard from the man himself.
Well explained and easy to follow
Great instructional
This instructional has so much in it it's worth the buy just for how much is here, has great unique content, explained well with multiple angles, shows care and respect by making people aware of dangers without shying away from more difficult or risky techniques, and most important explains very small concepts that are VERY useful. Explained in an easy to understand package.
Very simple explanations of systematic techniques. I immediately integrated so.e of this into my game.
Shows many concepts and techniques you can apply outside of the guard and very easy to start using
Great unique guard.
I follow Shawn on his Instagram and he always produces nice tips which I use to improve my game. I've been working on clamp guard and his instructional provides seamless transitions between his guard and the clamp guard as well as numerous tips on transitioning from closed guard etc.
nice breakdown of the williams guard with intricate detail
Great content
game changer
even works for non flexible dad bods
I have been using this for engaging and attacking from closed guard and super helpful in bringing to the table a "new" approach to attack. This position leads to a more safer rubber gaurd and the mechanics are very well explained.
great
If you're on the fence, don't hesitate. Shawn Williams is one of the absolute best coaches out there, and his teaching style is exceptional.
Aside from Williams guard, there's a lot of detail related to submissions, including omoplata and triangles. I like the content on reverse kimura as well. There's a ton of content, that requires time to go through. It's a similar teaching style to that of John Danaher.
I really like the overall details and techniques in this review, I find Williams Guard as an old man's rubber guard. Good for lots and fun to learn.
