  Old School, Simple, and Still Extremely Effective The Coyote Half Guard is a great system because it gives you a clear plan from bottom half guard—get the underhook, control the leg, create the angle, and work toward the dogfight, sweep, or back take instead of just surviving underneath someone. The instructional is a little older and not as polished as some of the newer eight-hour systems, but the techniques have stood the test of time, and for an older grappler like me, using leverage and positioning to move someone beats trying to bench-press them off me every day.

  Great tutorial. He explains lots of details I haven’t seen before. Also even though we only see gi BJJ on the cover, Leite does explain how the techniques adapt for no-gi and MMA.
