Really good instructional. Brian Glick explains leg entanglements in a simple and easy-to-understand way. Definitely worth watching.
Great series really learned a lot and was able to teach all of it in class
excellent details on leg entanglements
Everything Brian does is amazing
Fantastic detail in several leg entanglements
This guide is very well prepared and structured to comprehensively teach the specific topic of setting up leg attacks from guard positions. It is very clear that Brain Glick has a mastery of the subject matter, and has planned this video out to efficiently and effectively teach that topic. If you are interested in learning how to win the leg entanglement battle (how to defend leg locks, win the 50/50, or how to effectively leg pummel from a defensive leg entanglement to an offensive one), this particular instructional isn't going to give you those answers. However, if you want a solid foundation in attacking leg locks, starting from the guard and ending in the various ashi positions, then this is an excellent guide for you. One thing I do wish is that Japanese terms would have been defined as they were used. I was able to pick up most of them through context, but sometimes that context came quite a bit later. Overall, I was very happy with this series. I learned a lot about using leg entanglements to help with my guard retention. I will definitely revisit this series when I'm a brown belt and more of these techniques are applicable to my competitions.
Brian Glick has been a training partner to Gordon Ryan for a reason. The next best thing to John Danaher.
I love everything about Brian Glick does. His videos are always clear to follow. Gives good insight to for smaller guys.
After stuggling with leg entanglments for years, this instructional really made leg entanglements click for me. Since absorbing this material into my game I have become imfamous for my straight ankle locks.
Very Good. Illustrates individual leg attacks De La Riva, outside De La Riva, X Guard. Reverse X Guard, K Guard for sweeping control and leg submissions. Recommended
Great course to get to a good level of leg locking
An in-depth look at leg entanglements drills and techniques to up your game.
Great details
Prof Glick manages to differentiate himself from the numerous leg lock instructional, as well as provide distance between himself and Danaher/Gordon et al. The content is fresh, and his smaller size does not bleed into his game. He relies on strong principles that work well for any weight class, and I used many of his teachings as the cornerstone for a leg lock curriculum. well done. Interactions with Placido are also entertaining, they are a great pair!
Fantastic conclusion to the Under Pressure series. From the engagement face to the submission or sweep. If you are smaller and older grappler it’s hard to do better than Brian Glick’s interpretation of the DDS game.
Very good.
