Love it
Good
A very good series, interesting watch
Excellent addition to your library of learning.
I find that it is an instructional video that covers a set of details that one wonders about transition from standing to the ground in bjj without experience in wrestling
Awesome drills and entries that make you really good at single legs. This isn't a "here is 100 takedowns", it is a "Here is hand fighting drills to funnel your opponent into a single leg and finish it".
great material for stand up and creating strong pins
Very informative!
great
solid wrestling tools
I revisited this after purchasing craig's power ride series. Fantastic controls that can be used in bjj Presented by a top-notch wrestler
Excellent series focused on utilizing wrestling skills for BJJ
Great training video's
Good
This offers a great way to use wrestling and pin your opponents in BJJ.
incredibile folk style pins in Bjj, exactly what I wanted. highly recommend for fundamental wrestling.
Good video for grapplers with little wrestling experience. good fundamental teaching for combining the controls of wreslting in Jiu-Jitsu.
Excellent strategies
Great intro to single legs.
Theres some sections that are great, he basically gives you a whole single leg system, and the grip fighting section is also very useful for a beginner. However, a lot of it seems less like wrestling for bjj and more like just wrestling. Sure, there's certain breakdowns and pins you could see being applicable, but none of those lines are drawn for you, and they aren't all that efficient for bjj.
Good
Here’s the solution. Really different approach from bjj, Hudson will teach you how to dominate the opponent. I agree about the lack of focus (compared to other bjj instructionals) on submissions… but it’s not why you are buying this. The thing Hudson teaches will allow you to dominate, tire and frustrate the opponent. Submissions will come.
I bought this years ago, the title is very misleading, this is a pure wrestling DVD not tailored to BJJ at all. I was very disappointed, in my opinion money is better spend somewhere else. I don t know anything about his new titles, those might be really good, but this one I even think the time to watch is wasted.
Excellent instructional that improved my BJJ game plan specifically in the standing phase. Studying this video by Hudson Taylor allowed me to understand multiple phases such as clinch and takedown components. It allowed me to see the importance of sequences and how it plays a vital role in taking an opponent to the ground and attaining a dominant position. Highly recommended for those seeking to increase the effectiveness of their wrestling on the mats.
Most of the techniques here are sport-specific to wrestling. It will give you components that could be useful if you are creative enough to transfer to BJJ, but it will be up to you to connect the dots.
