• Worth it just for the bonus material

  This is a really helpful instructional and one I'll definitely come back to. Most of the techniques, especially the throws and takedowns, are very gi-focused, although some of the concepts can be adapted to no-gi. It doesn't go into a lot of detail on how to finish every combination, but it gives you the sequences so you can drill them on your own with a grappling ***** or at the gym. It's the kind of instructional that gets better the more you revisit it. The bonus material alone is worth it in my opinion, so overall I'd definitely recommend it.

  After getting my blue belt, it's been quite difficult to gain an understanding of what specifics I should be aiming for even eventually, even from speaking to my coach it's been difficult to nail things down further than just to dominate on the mats. I have found this instructional helpful in helping me to navigate this problem better and also given me an idea of where my deficits are knowledge and game wise in the barriers to me seeking to complete the activity set out in this instructional, which is one thing Roy does very well. I would recommend this to anyone stuck in a similar position to me, it will improve your way of thinking about the next steps.
