closed guard
AMAZING!
Really good breakdown of working from the closed guard
This guide provides clear and detailed explanations of key techniques, making it suitable for practitioners of all levels. Its step-by-step approach and demonstrations make complex concepts easy to understand. Overall, it’s a valuable resource for anyone looking to enhance their skills.
This is complete curriculum on closed guard that is based on the fundamentals and will make anyone deadly effective in closed guard. If this was the only closed guard instructional you ever buy, you will be extremely dangerous with the closed guard position.
like all other videos in this series Prof Danaher fundamentally changed how I understand and approach closed guard. he provides an amazing overview of the objectives of the position and a framework to improve. highly recommend this video
Amazing Instruction. Worth every penny.
I can see what my Professor is trying to teach us, its hard to take in during a class.
If you like Danaher- Instructionals there will be no suprises here. as always pure excellence and very good studying material. "get the ball rolling" and get his elbow past your centerline...i mean by this instructional and drill 🤗
Excellent instructional Very detailed Material that can be incorporated into anyones game, beginner to advanced belts.
I am a visual person, and when John Danaher explains the technique in such detail, I can easily visualize and internalize it. I play the technique in my head a few times, and the next time I am at the gym, I try it. It takes a while to perform the technique properly, but from the first attempt, it is obvious that the technique will work. This is by far one of the best videos I have ever purchased.
Just had my second competition ever and ended up winning gold in my division thanks to this instructional. Even just watching the "side scissor" portion of this video gave me what John refers to as a "strong first move." I felt far more comfortable and dangerous with an opponent in my closed guard. I used to view closed guard as a holding/stalling position, but I got 4 submissions from my closed guard at this last tournament! Can't recommend highly enough.
nothing really groundbreaking and new in terms of techniques but where danaher's genius lies in is the organization and structure of the same material that your instructors already showed into a cogent strategy that you can immediately utilize
Bought the GFF series as a white belt and continue using it as a reference.
mastering closed guard
This video series has revolutionized my guard game. The concept of having a strong starting move, has made close guard, a more fun position for me and a more effective position. Get the video, and see your results improve in the gym or in competition.
Thanks to John's explanations on the why's and the systems explained my game and understanding of Jiu-Jitsu changed immensely
So good
good
close guard
very effective
Awesome!!!
Hands down the best resource I've come across. As a white belt just trying to survive, learning pin escapes and guard retention have been my first priorities. Can't recommend the JD GFF series enough. Does exactly what is says on the tin.
