I've learned so much from these videos
love the series. great way to get good at taking the back from closed guard.
Immediately helped me understand concepts behind retaining closed guard and attacking from closed guard.
This is one of the first videos I drilled in depth. He explains everything very well and there are a few recap sections I wish more videos had because if you bookmark or cut them, they serve as a fast review of 2-3 volumes worth of stuff. I still have a hard time breaking posture against many opponents, limiting my use of many of the techniques from guard, but guard isn't the only way to use many of the techniques. For example, it tactical mount, or even someone scrambling out of a failed back attack to a turtle position, I can still hit most of the side scissor stuff because you end up in the same position and I now recognize it and what my options are
The sections on Clamp Guard and Top lock alone are worth the price. I also found the grip breaking strategies for the bottom player very useful. Highly recommended.
I love having access to some of the best instructional videos on the go anytime, anyplace. Once purchased you can download the videos to access when without internet connection. John Danaher breaks things down in digestible bits for better understanding. I can watch these videos several times over to increase my knowledge base to build new pathways for my jujitsu game.
As always, Professor Danaher provides incredible detail on such an under-rated position! Great instructional!

AMAZING CONTENT. I'll be watching this video (and Danaher's other ones) for the rest of my life! OSS!
John Danahar breaks down movements in such an easy to follow way that you just can't go wrong. His teachings have helped me a tremendous amount when rolling, training and drilling. This video is definitely a must buy for anyone training the art of BJJ.
great technical info
excellent content
This is the best instructional on the closed guard I've ever seen--especially for those below purple belt. It really explains the mechanics of attacking from closed guard. And I mean the true fundamental concepts. Not just, "here's an armbar, triangle., and omoplata." Danaher explains key basics that aren't obvious to the ***** eye like using inward knee pulls as the primary way to keep the opponent down/off balance--especially when they attempt to stand up with the second step. Things like this are so much more valuable to real world effectiveness than "hey, pull the collar." One of my favorite Danaher videos. Buy it!
