Being a 52 jujiteiro with no judo background i have always struggled with takedowns. John Danahers offers us a complete system of takedowns adapted for jiujitsu. I have got the whole serie. For me it is the bible of the standing game.

Danaher does it again. Literally the best instructor on this website. Introductory principles of takedowns demystified by the best making it accessible for all practitioners! Highly recommend.

nothing beats Danaher videos
John is an excellent teacher and communicator. This volume has a great addendum section at the end about using Jiu Jitsu for self defense. That alone would have been worth the price of admission.
I greatly improved my standup with this before my first tournament. The ankle pick is my favorite now.
Super detailed instructional and very useful information.

Standing Fundamentals
Super in depth. Who knew there was so much detail to ankle picks!
Great breakdown the clarity is amazing and it only the 1 one of the the series was
Finally have a strategy for standing. Bye bye butt scoot.
Collar Drag and Ankle Pick have been my favorite gi takedowns ever since!!
I started in a small dojo, with little room to practice take downs. We did not practice a lot. This instructional is fantastic. It starts with concept about gripping, off balancing. Then John Danaher shows mainly two easy takedowns, very accessible, and their variations. The part on self defense is very interesting too.
Fabulous instruction. Details and basic principles made very clear. Specific to BJJ takedowns for someone starting from the beginning.
I'm new to the gi, this sped up the learning process so fast for me.
This series is worth it for the first chapter alone as it really does an excellent job at conceptualizing the takedown game. A must have if you want to add a highly effective takedown game.
I have literally stopped pulling guard in my rolls since it has been so easy to take down my opponents or pull tp an advantageous guard position if my takedown attempt fails.
