Quintissential fundamental guard retention concepts and techniques
Great instructional on guard retention!
This is an extremely thorough explanation of guard retention that will give you a general strategy for guard retention as well as detail out how to frustrate the most common guard passing techniques. 10/10 would recommend to anyone, especially white and blue belts. This instructional will definitely make anyone a better guard retainer, whether you are a new white belt or an advanced black belt.
I love how he gives you overarching principles instead of specific moves. this means I can use the ideas in any guard pass
Unparalleled instruction. Love the 5 points needed to pass guard and how to prevent and fight them.
Really appreciate the details involved and the small steps explained that make differences on how to defend and retain guard.
A clear and thorough instructional on maintaining guard in the Gi.

Can't go wrong with a Danaher instructinal
I always heard that guard retention was important and as a white belt it honestly took me a while to really understand what was meant by that. Once you start getting better and the guys stop taking is so easy on you and smash your guard like its paper you start to understand. Guard retention is its own beast. This is Danher being Danher. Love it or hate it. If you want to understand the why in great detail and every nut and bolt of the position this is for you.
Great!
Can't go wrong with John Danaher video. Concepts and techniques are well explained. If u are familiar with his videos, you will know you need plenty of time to listen to him talk. But will be well rewarded.
take notes, practice, go back to your notes, practice then watch the video and pick up on all the things you missed out on prior. this is multi-layered. the more you do the more you learn, the more you'll get out of this. highly recommend
As always the best theorical and practical bjj
