Fantastic! My guard is still developing, 1 year in as a blue belt, but a lot of great concepts to start practicing.
Great instructional
The first series on RDLR defenses leads right into Ryan Halls "tilt-sweep" position.
Clear explanation of a powerful concept - don't waste time directing your efforts to any part of your opponent except that part he is using to power his move. Anyone can benefit from this one.
Recently rare Gi guard retention from Mikey. And we could understand his great principles. Must watch! Very valuable for small and old person.
Awesome
This is complete brilliance
Really good and easy to implement
easy to understand with more focus on concepts
great content
As someone that is learning guard pullin/retention - a former wrestler learning to pull guard, this has been been very helpful!
Very clear and practical. Already using the RDLR in my game. Highly recommend
Great experience using this instructional! Musumeci is always very thorough in his explanations.
very helpful for working against bigger players
brilliant still on volume one
Got some fantastic ideas that I was able to implement right away.
This content is so detailed and leaves so many options from the positions listed in the description
good gi guard retention
there are a lot of great techniques in this series. 4 out of 5 because the info comes so fast that I needed to rewind quite a bit to take it in.
Guard Retention
Very Detailed
Mikey gives insight into the minutiate behind what makes an attack work far beyond misconceptions given in beginner classes
I like how Mikey facilitates his training through clear communication and the purpose of a concept. However, in my case, I have to adjust the technique based on my frame, weight, and height. The approach is modern and I love the strategy Mikey has put into it which can still be applied regardless if you're in the Masters Division.
very well explained awesome instructions
This review helped my level up my guard retention especially from the knee cut.
