I'm a returning white belt after half a lifetime away from the mats. This is such a fantastic resource to have available- everything is broken down and not only demonstrated, but explained *how* it will be important for BJJ.
Good videos, great drills to help you improve even without a rolling partner!
Bro, the level of my jiu jitsu just go to another landing, this guy is one of the best instructors of jiu jitsu in the word and the takedowns videos just change my game to another level
Nice job of explaining moves
I am a new student of BJJ. Class can be fast and overwhelming at times and I ended up at home trying to mentally replay lessons because the practice was all fight or flight. I’m exhausted because I’ve not built my stamina and lost because I’m still trying to grasp topics. This video purchase has been a great tool for helping me wrap my mind around the hows and whys. It gives me variations of what I’m learning, but in a way that helps me understand the equivalent variation that I’m learning in class. It also shows me how to structure practice at home to build on execution, as well as serving as a reference to check my form. One of the best purchases I’ve made as a beginner besides my gi! Definitely would recommend this to anyone starting BJJ for the first time.
Muito interessante para situações de treino, consegui aplicar em um treino recente
Fantastic instructional, John Danager gave clear concise easy to follow directions. These solos drills are invaluable at any level.
Great
Great way of teaching fundamental ways of drills to partake in while solo.
Nice if youre home
For me as a White Belt they are very simple movements which are good explained
I don't know that I can say that I'm sold, but Danaher is so helpful in wringing the most of out solo drilling (when you can't train with a partner). As always, excellent.
I love the idea of shadow grappling! And the pull up bar routine is so efficient!
Not super in-depth but good stuff included. Grab it.
Even this video that covers standard BJJ movements and conditions is exceptionally beneficial because John does an impeccable job of expanding upon the finer details and reasonings.
Goes over many fundamental movements in great detail
Thanks professor
These drills came super handy during a time where training at the gym was limited
It’s a framework with proper applications and programming routine. Plus a clear understanding of the need to shadow grappling in the head ( as well, better as fundamental). Then there is that 5 minutes narration on shadow grappling and it’s execution. Brilliant.
Always great when danaher
Wonderful mouvements
Awesome breakdown of essential bjj movement
Love all of John’s instructionals
Too often do people see these as just warm-ups and it's holding back their progress. Danaher breaks down what makes these "warm-up" movements effective in sparring and how you can also implement shadow grappling to better improve your game.
I love basic techniques, and John's instructions are just what I need. These instructions from the era of illness are simple but very useful.
