Let’s answer the question everyone wants to know- do I buy Gordon’s SATL or danaher’s ETS. I have and love both. There is obviously a lot of overlap and similarities including finishing mechanics, the hierarchy of grips, single roll theory, etc. Differences? ETS includes entires into the leg positions. ETS gives you immense details, principals and some History that others easily overlook. SATL covers the positions in ETS plus more. SATL covers more types of subs (ankle lock, heel hook, toe hold, etc). ETS taught me everything I know. The outside ashi system alone in SATL leveled up my game in truly remarkable ways. SATL is prob better for those looking for quick, easy to apply legs attacks that work at high levels. ETS is better for those looking for a deep foundational, complete battle tested system.
First week using of watching this and I was applying this successfully in training.
great details
loved the finishing mechanic details
good stuff
great content as usual, another instructional by mr. ryan
If there is one video you are going to get to improve your game in BJJ, it should be this one.
Down to the most minute movements, everything you need to level up your leglocks is here
The leg lock videos in particular are really great. This is a must-watch class for anyone who is practicing Jiu-Jitsu.
Gordon king ryan!!!
I bought this instructional after tapping to a counter leglock at my first competition, and within minutes of watching I instantly realized how little I understood about how to play in the pocket in positions I assumed I was good at. This instructional is wonderfully organized and intensive and Gordon is a genuinely gifted teacher for how he is able to translate minute positional details in ways that are easy to follow along with and troubleshoot when you go awry. I will clarify for potential buyers though that this material is primarily focused on leglock offense from entanglements and is not necessarily a guard instructional; this does not detract from its quality but was something I didn't fully anticipate. Overall, this was great for me as a new competitor and I look forward to practicing sequences at every chance.
Excellent details, Gordon goes through all the leg locking positions with great and easy to understand explanations
This has to be one of the most detailed courses I have ever viewed. Tons of details on how to attack legs and all the different scenarios that go with it. Also, Gordon explains his logic when entering into leg attacks and that gives you an insight into how truly remarkable his jujitsu is. Finally, the chemistry between Nathalia and Gordon is brilliant. She adds a level of fun which is so refreshing to watch! Well done guys!
