Love the trapping systems that he uses
I'm pretty new, but this instructional has really helped my guard game and to control my opponent!
Another classic from Neil!
Neil is a great instructor. Love everything that he puts out. His book on Triangles is excellent also. People should buy extra copies to save they are that good in case they ever go out of print. Zero criticisms but I do have one request. I've love to see Neil put out either a bundle of work on trapping systems. Or perhaps release a comprehensive series on every trapping system he can think. Some of the most fascinating stuff I have ever seen. Keep it up, Neil! Love your work. Love the personal stories and the humor. Maybe I'll track him down and see if I can train with him some day.
Melanson's details are second to none. This is a fantastic full guard system that leads into other systems really well also.

Great instructional on the trapping system the Irish Collar. Neil nails all the details and explains the why in all the techniques. I liked at the end how he explains how to go into other trapping systems and open guard.
A really useful approach to the closed guard, a relatively simplistic trapping system that can easily feed into other more complex trapping systems (rubber guard, Williams guard, K guard etc). really useful for me as I often have problems getting to WIlliams Guard. Can't wait to start putting this stuff into practice.
