Brian explains things in a simple and structured formula. Works on the mats.
If you're built more like a librarian than power lifter you will find this very helpful. As an older skinny grappler I felt like this instructional was made just for me. Brian is the king of skinny guy BJJ.
Sweet guard retention principles
If you’re interested in the clamp guard or the Williams guard then this instructional is for you. It’s a wealth of information on clamp guard entries and what to do once you get there.
Second instructional from Glick, and he's so knowledgeable.
An excellent instructional on the clamp guard.
great details
I first learned about the clamp from Danaher this is a deep dive into the position by one of his top students.
very in depth
If you're interested in playing the clamp guard then this instructional has everything you need to know to develop a solid bottom game from this position. Highly recommend
Great instructional. This video will give you a nice game plan for controlling and then submitting your opponent. You will find this video simple to implement into your game.
Great material for the older; and, or, smaller person.
Brian Glick breaks things down in an easy to understand way, and the clamp was a great place for me to continue building my guard.
very practical. worth watching with the side scissor video.
This position is taught early on in your training but never reinforced Lifesaver
love Brian Glick. His teaching style matches perfectly with my slow working brain.
Great explanation for everyone
I think the clamp guard is highly undervalued. Brian's clamp guard video was one of my first BJJFanatics purchases. I will admit that the clamp was a difficult position for me to get into when I first started BJJ as I'm older and lack flexibility. I abandoned the clamp guard for a while and worked on my bottom half guard game circa Danaher's Half Guard "Ageless" videos and discovered that the clamp was more easy to get into from half guard or low knee shield as demonstrated so clearly in Brian's instructional, since I was already on my side. After re-visiting Brian's instructions I have been able to get into the position more often and got several submissions from the clamp guard position this week during live rolling. Often I get a *** look from my partners while in the guard or submitting them! Thanks Brian!
very smart, easy and clear instructions.
As an older guy trying to maintain connection and make use of my old man isometric endurance strength, this focus on the clamp seems ideal for my game.
very informative and helpful explanation of the clamp. this is a great video to aid in dealing with heavy pressure.
This is a fairly common position easily explained. Will help with controlling bigger opponents and finishing them.
great details for smaller weaker players
Loving using this as a reference tool when having difficulties from the bottom.
impressed
