Loved the ankle picks and knee picks in episode 1. Also great gripping information
Incredible passing so far, that requires very little athleticism
It's Danaher, so of course this is excellent, systematic, and almost comprehensive. But when combined with the other Ageless Jiu Jitsu instructionals (esp Gi Top Game), it gives you enough material to start to put together a basic game plan and highlights what will be the highest percentage moves to master when older or less athletic.
Not only for older athletes, but pretty much anyone!
As usual very complete and concise instruction definitele worth 👌
Usual good stuff from Danaher.
Great stuff!
I have studied quite a few of Prof. Danaher's instructional videos and series over the years, and I've always seen the logic in the methods and systems he presents. As an aging jiu jitsu practitioner, I am really finding the "Ageless Jiu JItsu" series to be extremely helpful as I'm adjusting my game and approach as I am almost 50 years old. I had the pleasure of taking some of Prof. Danaher's classes when I would visit New York City for work almost 20 years ago. He has always left a lasting impression of how to look at and understand jiu jitsu in my mind. Thank you, sir, for sharing your time and knowledge.
Very well explained. Already helping my game.
I have taken a LOT of great details from these videos and applied them directly to my training. Highly recommend this for any of the other old guys out there!
Tons of details that I was able to take into training and really improve my game!

Great instructional and very focused with the techniques, completely changed my game.
Very good teaching, pointers, etc. Naturally, the "training partner" is not acting as a truly skilled defender. However, most of the folks in the gym aren't either. If you wish to improve, it is a must have for all levels, but the degree of benefits depend on where you are starting from.
Excellent Gi strangles and long step passing explained in great detail/ Recommended
Great as always. Sound fundamental jiu jitsu, you thought you knew.
Great synthesis of Danaher’top game for in the gi for older players. Worth it for the passing section alone.
It's a comprehensive game plan with techniques that are appropriate not only for older folks, but also for newer guys and those who prefer conservative controlling game.
different approaches to chest to chest
Brilliant… nice to know there’s struggle with these problems & how to deal with them
Comprehensive collection of techniques for a top player who'd like to build his game plan around slowing down one's opponents.
Great details on passing for older guys
I am just coming back from an injury and I watch this series over and over again. It was extremely helpful! Thank you John Danaher!!!
Danaher’s Ageless Jiu Jitsu – Top Game Gi is designed for practitioners who may be older or less athletic but still want to dominate from top position. With emphasis on structure, pressure, and efficient movement, it’s perfect for building a technical, energy-conserving top game in the gi.
Really great for everyone especially beginners
