  Secondary guard position limits the way my oponent reacts. Especially, utilizing Marcelo frame in a tool chain will bring strong escape power. With good game plan for each situation, the technique introduced here works fantastic I experienced.

• Side Control Bottom Recovery Gameplan

  Professor P. S. offers the idea of the second guard in terms of bringing your legs into play in union with your whole body and pin your opponent from side control bottom. It actually puts a whole new toolkit to the game for me. It is still quite hard to escape the late stages of side control but a way easier with this concepts and techniques. Everyone should have this!!!

  Because of this I am SO CALM on bottom!! I've watched this dvd several times and it's so helpful everytime, when I train people are afraid to take side control on me, I am so safe and able to pick do I want to reguard, sweep etc... so far so good, watching again today to learn even more! HIGHLY RECOMEND!

  Paul Schreiner is one of the best grappling instructors in the world. He did a great job going through bottom side defenses in this video. Very clear explanation of the basic ideas and how to think about counters. This video provides a pretty complete system for bottom side defense and reversals.

• The only instructional that helped me

  As I purchased this DVD I already saw the whole pin escapes dvd by john danaher, but I had huge problems escaping from side control though. I am 197 cm (6'5" to 6'6") so all of my opponents are smaller than me. The pin is extremely tight by default when your opponent is smaller and it's really hard to get my frames to inside positions. This is the only thing that helped my solve my struggle with this position. Now I control my opponents and hold them down thogh they are pinning me. I wait for openings and escape. I was really frustrated and almost hopeless until I found this video course. Thanks Paul Schreiner!
