This instruction is just a gold mine. Everytime I revisit this video as I progress, I keep finding nuggets of information I didn't pick up before. The details is so layered that you always find something new after trying it out.

Side control is one of the problematic positions for myslef, so much so I would rather be stuck in mount or even have my back taken than be in side mount. This instruction provide a unique look at dealing with and escaping side control. I'm still trying to get to grips with all the details and perform the techinques shown within this instructional but so far so good. On the odd occasion that I have been able to pull off some of the escapes shown i'm always asked "what did you do there.." or alternatively "show me how you do that!" Some of the techniques take time and alot of adjustments to get right but given enough time I think they will be well worth it. The only downside to the instructional is I do believe that some of the camera angles or at least the demos could have been filmed at a better angle.

A lot more people wouldn't mind bottom side control if they realized that there's more to it than just a couple of escapes and a couple of sweeps. There's some great counter submissions in this video, and as you practice them you'll see them in other positions as well. It opens your perspective and deepens your understanding of body mechanics.

Another great video by professor saure. I know i have seen most of what was in this video before, but having his approach to the material kicks it up a notch. Also he gave a name to a move i have been using for years that i learned in my first year training and still use it to this day..

Side Control is something that I have always struggled with for as long as I have been doing BJJ. I prefer being put in Full Mount over Side Control it is that bad. However with this series I have been able to address alot of holes in my game and in a short space of time I have been able, to not only fend of, frustrate, but also escape, and move into attacking positions.
