excelente tutorial, el mejor
I really need someone to clarify every detail and John does exactly that.
Danaher really spends a great deal of time on every scenario, which is great for dealing with isolated positions and issues.
An encyclopedia that never gets old. Makes more and more sense the more time you put in.
great instructional about a very important topic
Amazing instructional. Principle based and easy to apply.
Gostei muito. Muito didático
As always, very detailed instructions by JD
The guard retention and recovery instructional by John Danaher is excellent, especially for those who are just starting to understand guard retention. He does not teach only specific guards, but presents retention as a situational framework, which makes decision-making during rolls much clearer. Guard retention is one of the hardest topics to teach online, and this instructional is very well done. Danaher talks a lot, but it helps a lot with understanding the concepts.
The best guard retention content out there!

The level of detail in breaking down the application of both techniques and concepts for the subject is second to none. Study and practise everything in here and it is guaranteed to level up your guard retention skills!!!
The framework is just what I needed to improve my guard retention
The instructional was very informative and extremely detailed; the issue was that some concepts for low level belts would be to indepth.
Pretty good for having a broad view on the logic and main ways of guard passing. Definitely a good starting point to then pick your favorite methods of passing.
