• So, Uh, Everyone Was Doing the Americana Wrong

  An incredible instructional. I had a lot of fun with this one. It's one of those rare instances where someone shares something paradigm shifting with a technique and you're just like "Huh! Why was I doing it that way before?" Just a few adjustments, and the Americana is so much more devastating than typically taught. It's also MUCH harder to escape once locked in. I don't think John always taught it this way, and it's neat to see he's always looking to learn and improve. The one knock I have on this is that John repeats his insight from arm-wrestling like 5-6 times, haha. I get that he's excited about sharing his lightbulb moment, but it was a bit too much. Another bonus was that this was a good supplement to his armbar material from the New Wave series. He shows an armbar setup that I don't recall being there.
