Since watching these videos, my escapes have been on a different level. They have a great explanation and are easy to understand.
Extremely in depth explanations of every conceivable aspect of escaping pins. This style of instruction will probably land best for those who prefer to learn through spoken language. It may sound long winded for those who don't, but personally this style of instruction is very relevant and effective.
This is the instructional which I took to start my bjj journey, couldn’t be more satisfied with the extensive and in depth guidance of John Danaher.
I love his explanations and breakdowns. The teaching style may not be for everyone, but there are nuggets of information everywhere in this instructional. Would highly recommend
This really helped me understand basic concepts on how to survive. Would recommend to anyone who starts out. Listen to it in 1.25x speed because the explanations are a bit long winded
Being a white belt, the first things I need to focus on first are escapes. John is thorough in and detailed in explaining the concepts and moves needed to escape. This has been so helpful to study between classes.
good
I am doing bjj over 4 months, and have huge problems with escapes. I watched mount section and practice it well. After a couple weeks, ı have no problem to escape from Mount
danaher discussing gi escapes
Danaher has a great, patient way of explaining things. I like that he takes his time going through basics you will refer to later when exploring the more advanced concepts of escapes. He references the basic concepts from earlier in the instructional, and often will again demonstrate it briefly as a reminder before going into how it is useful in this particular escape. In addition, he tells us plainly that certain things will only work against beginners but how these moves can still be very helpful to set up others once your opponent reacts. Great stuff.
gold
John always does a killer job taking a step back and giving you the correct frame of reference to view situations, then diving into the details
pins
Danaher teaches you concepts that are so basic but so precise and correct. All the techniques are also excellent and I've improved my defence massively since implementing this course in training.
Breadth and depth of this tutorial is excellent for beginners like myself
Broad and deep tutorial to start your BJJ adventure or to hone your skills.
Immediately useful information that will change the quality of your rolls within a short time

Great series of videos, really has a great way of explaining techniques
This is my fourth month of training in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. The introductory course I am taking is the best I have found online. I highly recommend it - it is worth the money.
There is loads of great advice in any John Danaher instructional this is no execption. It has helped me tremendously in getting out of side control. I would recommend any of his videos.
