Best guard retention instructional
It’s definitely the best out there worth every penny!!!
Fantastic guard retention instructional
I used to get my guard passed alot. This instructional has significantly improved my game. Bought it a year ago and still go back and watch specific sequences when I struggle with my retention game.

Based on my family and life schedule, I don’t get to train live more than 1-2x per week, so I’m a little bit of an instructional junkie. I have owned this series since the time it came out and I can honestly say I have come back to it more than any other one I own. It has completely transformed my game. As a white belt, there was nothing worse than just feeling like people would melt through your guard like it was room temperature butter. This series (along with the through the legs and close range) have dramatically improved my retention ability. In a lot of Danaher’s videos he references “people of similar size and skill level” and I can honestly say that most blue belts (which I currently am) simply cannot pass my guard and I owe it all to Lachlan and Ariel. This series should easily have 10x the reviews it has. I know guard retention isn’t the coolest topic ever, but BJJ is just so much more enjoyable when you can actually try and set things up without worrying people will pass you in an instant. Thank you Lachlan and Ariel, this is the best instructional I own!

Guard retention is the holy grail of bjj. If someone can't pass aren't you than invincible? Instead of showing random moves Ari and Giles will equip you with nuanced concepts of guard retention. If you stick to their plan you will see a huge increase in your capacity to defend yourself from guard and to become an open guard player. The high pummel became crucial to my game.

This video is the best I have come across for this specific area of bjj. It has opened up my eyes to the possibilities of developing a solid guard retention. I have learned so much just in watching the first part. There are detailed explanations that accompany each technique along with solid examples shown.
