great content for a half guard player
Lots of content, so much detail
staggering amounts of quality content!
Amazing content
Lachlan is a master and has easily forgotten more about this position than most people will ever learn. Very detailed instructional
Excellent content. So detailed. I keep coming back again and again.
Excellent. I have implemented so many aspects of this video series. There is an insane amount of content. I keep coming back again and again.
very detailed and organized instructional from Lachlan Giles
Great instructional! easy to follow easy to implement.
I don't want to give the man ideas, but Lachlan charges way too little for his instructionals, especially compared to comparatively detailed instructors such as Gordon or Danaher. These aren't quick cash grabs, these are like a darn thesis and labour of love. The actual instructional covers retention from half guard, recover to half guard, recovery from a flat half into a better half guard (usually knee shield or underhook, although butterfly guard and deep half are also positions Lachlan teaches to recover to), and then from there various chapters on offense from Lachlan's preferred half guard positions. Lachlan covers knee levers (john wayne) and high knee shields into the underhook half position, and the bulk of this instructional that I've watched has been focused on attacking from underhook half. Lots of dogfight/roll under stuff but in exceptional detail, and also stuff on what to do when they stand up (such as going to sit up guard and attacks from there). I love how thourough Lachlan is, his combination of concepts, techniques, live footage with commentary, and trouble shooting, all fitting nicely into a systemically approach. This doesn't cover much detail on attacking from butterfly half or deep half, and only minimal stuff from low knee shield, but if high knee shield, underhook, and sit up half guards are your thing, this is an encyclopaedia you will find yourself coming back to again and again.
great instructional that covers absolutely everything related to half guard
Excellent content for my game because I am strong working out if half guard to control positions and submissions. Instruction is very detailed and concise

very thorough
Very detailed
Really like Lachlan’s way of teaching. Not as extensive as Danaher’s instructional but still very detailed. Recommendation!

A real Anthology
This instructional has been a great resource to answer specific questions about issues half guard. I wouldn't recommend watching it straight through, just reference the individual sections as you run into problems.

Lachlan shows a complete system with concepts and techniques that help you create an aggressive guard! Definitely worth the watch especially considering the low price!
