Building Foundations by Hannette Staack
H. S. created a smart series about escaping the most common pin variations of bottom side control, bottom mount and insede the back control. First she shows how tThe Americana Escape is about getting to open guard or counter the americana with an ameriana. The Triangle attack is out of an iverted escape form north south. The mount series is about how to get and maintian mount position by countering the escape attempts by propper weight distribution. The escapes are about trap and roll reversals or forms of elbow escapes to end up in half guard or closed guard or get the back. The submission from mount is the katagatame or head and arm choke in depth. The back series is about how to maintain and regain the back when you are about to lose it. The back escapes are about end up in an double under or over under position on top or end up in a top half position. Recommend!

The Unstoppable Loop Choke by Nicholas Meregali
Very good details on the loop choke from several different positions. However, I would have liked to see a little more content in the dvd. Maybe, Nicholas doing some of the common defenses that people use when people are in the loop choke against him and then showing his counters to that. Overall good though.
Excellent - Mount Course
Mount Dominance by Brandon McCaghren
I've studied multiple mount courses where I would compare & contrast techniques, pay attention to details each instructor likes to emphasize and which ones they do not. I thought this was a very good course by Brandon, he seems like a likable character, I appreciated the particular way that this course was filmed, the live seminar type format made me feel like I was there, I love his focus on finishing from the top. It really made me think and experiment. I am practicing S-Mount more often because of material I learned in this course. I would recommend anyone interested in making a serious study of Jiujitsu to review the course and to look for details that they can use to up their game.
Response from BJJ Fanatics:hugging::+1::skin-tone-2:Video does a good job
Foundations of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu by Bernardo Faria
Video does a good job covering the basics, helped me build up my jiu jitsu vocabulary so I could understand what the heck the professor was talking about. Learned the americana from this and was able to deploy it successfully a few times so far.
Response from BJJ Fanatics:hugging::+1::skin-tone-2:An excellent instructional – Content, teaching and quality of the video (long review)
Iron Maiden Back System by Matt Darcy
At the core of the instructional is a comprehensive back control system, taught in the GI, which follows a logical approach to systematically remove your opponent’s ability to effectively escape your control and puts them in the best position for you to submit them (i.e., both their arms are controlled with you having a free arm). Two approaches are taught, one for the underside and another for the overhook side. Once you have control you are taught to move directly into a submission. A range of submissions are taught. Usefully there are series of chapters covering trouble shooting the system and how to best deal with different types of opponents. The balance of the instructional covers the crucifix; a back control drill; and flows to enter back control from side control, mount and commencing with a leg drag. The instructional is logically structured and has a run time of two hours. Matt Darcy is an excellent instructor. He teaches his system step by step, which makes it easy to understand and memorise. The demonstrations are clear and as is the norm demonstrations are repeated from different angles. Other than the techniques and the quality of teaching, the other outstanding attribute is the quality of the video production. The instructional has been filmed and edited professionally. Evidence of this quality can be seen in the preview chapter and the trailer. I purchased this instructional prior to it being available through BJJ Fanatics and it is definitely one of the better GI back control instructionals. I have watched it multiple times. Providing you practice the content of this instructional you will definitely improve your back control technique and your ability to submit your training partners and opponents. In summary, this is a low risk option to improve your knowledge and skills in back control, the crucifix and back submissions.

Response from BJJ Fanatics:hugging::+1::skin-tone-2:Complete Roadmap for straight footlocks and triangles based on 50/50 and closed guard and more
Submission Hunting by Fellipe Andrew
F. A. shows his go to moves in competition. First he shows to establish and execute the straight foot lock based on 50/50 with a bunch of variations also using the lapel. Followed you to troubleshoot to finisch the lock. Then he offers some solutions to enter the 50/50 from half guard bottom and top, butterfly guard, classic ogen guard as well as a counter to the toreando pass and from standing. A kneebarvariation is also added. The triangle series offers triangles from lasso gaurd, open guard and half guard. Furthermore he shows some tranisitions to armbars and omplatas form the triangle position dependng on the opponents reaction. A sweep from the tringle position is also there as kind of a variation of the pendulum sweep. The side control part shows how to hit triangles, armbars, head and arm chokes and paper cutter choke as well. Great content!
