Was terrible at arm bars, steadily improving
Arm Bars: Enter The System by John Danaher
My god, I could only ever get an armbar on day 1 Bjj guys. Something never clicked for me, I'd try and try and try and as my coach for advice and that got me closer to getting it. Watching Johns instructional helps to paint a beautiful picture of where you should be headed and how to get there. I can't imagine how costly it would be for a private one on one lesson with the master. He gets into it, and guides you along the way. This helped me immensely as I was able to land arm bars and also defend them too. Something clicked with my body and knowledge from my coach and this instructional. If you're having a terrible time landing the submission, pick this up. Watch, take notes and practise, practise, practise.

Safe Sacrifice Throws For BJJ by Justin Flores
I really enjoyed this instructional. He basically takes two throws and breaks them down into different scenarios rather than give you 30 techniques without much detail. One of the best instructionals IMO.

Great Instructional

Great for beginners and to go back to refresh on fundamentals
Great details
Kimura Domination by Tom DeBlass
This is a nice system for the kirmura, with a great breakdown of principles and details. Importantly it isn't just a submission lesson but also about how the kirmura is a controlling hold. Kirmura trap has been a big part of my game since purple belt, and Tom has given me some great variations and refined some details for me.
extremely good
Systematically Attacking the Guard Body Lock Study by Gordon Ryan
better than rody lock
Amazing solutions to sweep and submit!
Shin On Belly Guard by James Clingerman
Professor James Clingerman provided an unique instructional on the shin an belly guard. I use this guard primarily as a kind of a back up guard when one of my legs gets trapped or to escape side control. This guard is a great option/example to use sweeps as an entry to submissions and of course to sweep and follow up attacks. You get all crucial details explained while the techniques get shown. He also extract details and shows them isilated that you really able to catch it. Highly recommend!!

Guard Passing Masterclass by Tomer Alroy
Great overview of the most common passing systems, well explained, not long winded and straight to the point. The inclusion of drills is also really helpful. Recommended especially for fellow white belts.
Flawless
The Science of Filthy Triangles by Neil Melanson
This is amazing, I love Neil. Being a larger fellow 6'4 240 lbs. I feel as though his content is for us larger fellas. Neil wrote the book on Triangles and I would suggest picking it up as this is a great companion piece. It's worth your money, if your terrible, good and excellent at pulling off triangles. This will help to make you that much better.

Upper Body Takedowns For Grappling by Adam Wheeler
I picked this series up because I wanted to add more judo and Greco to my game because I got bad knees. I gave this series a try. It’s a good beginner series. The entries are very straight forward. I wish there was more hand fighting advice, but it’s a minor gripe.

Response from BJJ Fanatics:hugging:Kazushi Sakuraba is the F*cking Man
Anti Jiu Jitsu by Kazushi Sakuraba
he's legendary and was ahead of his time during his amazing run in the 2000's. It's cool to hear about his theory put into practise from his amazing catch wrestling style. If you can impress Craig Jones with your technique and knowledge of leg locks and submissons you know you've stumbled across something special. This is a hidden gem and really underappreciated. Worth the purchase.

The Real Judo Chop And Other Favorites by Kayla Harrison
The series was short and focused on a few Harrison’s favorite techniques, but she put lots of details into each demonstration. I was really impressed with the content though. She explained everything with incredible detail. I do hope she returns and puts out more instructional

Passing the Guard: BJJ Fundamentals - Go Further Faster by John Danaher
Professor John Danaher did another outstanding job of simplifying and systematizing general principles and concepts onto passing in general and the certain techniques. He covered all major forms of passing in a way so that you are able to adapt them to the different scenerios you may find. He broke down every pass into the different stages based on the lines of defense and points out so well when and how to set up and reajust if necessary. ABSOLUTE MUST HAVE!!!
Response from BJJ Fanatics:hugging::sunglasses:Cryamgamgles, Trangles & Leglocks based on x-guard and more
Cryangles, Triangles & Leglocks by Mike Bidwell
Professor Mike Bidwell created an unique manual about how techniques and scenarions connect to each other. He is just great in connecting techniques which seem to be highly complex in a fairly simple manner so that you get an great overview of his techniques and the system behind as well as a guidance with the crucial details to get the techniques to work. The cryangle is a triangle where you also trapped one of your opponent´s legs inside your triangle and so you put your opponent into the shape of a shell. He does also a very good job of breaking down dynamic techniques like guard entries from standing and the imanari series. He structered this istructional progressive and variable at the same time. This instructional also helped me a lot to understand the x-guard better. Recommend!!

Professor Fabio Holanda gives a great guidance through all common kimura scenarios from half guard bottom and top and added on double leg and back take defense via kimura counter out of the double leg defense. North South set up is covered to. He exactly show when and how to use the kimura as a hold and pin and when to attack and sweep. All important angles are given and the key details became explained during each sequence. Highly recommend!!

Chokes with the use of fabrics
Gi To Street Self-Defense by Eli Knight
Professor Ei Knight and his co. povided a well chosen selection of gi chokes and transfered them into a street self defense scenario. First they are explaining the general mechanics of gi chokes/chokss with fabrics and then they go over the chokes using the gi first so that is easy to follow. Afterwards they show the same techniques wearing clothes of different constitution. The chokes they are illustrating are basically chross collar chokes and sliding collar chokes and ezikiel chokes. The set ups for the street are realistic and demonstrated really carefully and to the point. Highly recommend if you want to dive into jiu jitsu based self defnese!!
