M. G. put thogether a great series of how to deal with the most common scenarios you have to be aware of when opening the cöosed guard. He shows what to do and what to avoid and beeing aware of. He shows basicallyfour different methods depending on angles and levels of hight which fit very well together and prevent sweeps and upper body submissions while passing. Recommend!

The Half Guard Anthology by Lachlan Giles
I purchased this as it mentioned deep half and was starting to love deep half. I wasn't really interested in all the dogfight content and it was mostly dogfight. However, after watching the tutorials dogfight slowly became my number 1 position I work towards. I now love playing half guard and this instructional tool dogfight from something I thought was for athletic people to something I can easily do as a bit older out of shape dude. This is by far the most influential instructional on my game to date and really helped my on my journey to purple belt.

The Butterfly Wizard has given great details often missed out with the technique. This has definitely helped this older unathletic grappler in the longevity department. Anytime I can get a bigger guy off and secure position is always gonna be gold

Tactical Turtle by Neil Melanson
Really phenomenal and complete overview of how to address being in turtle. I always found turtle to be a position you would just be stuck in, but Neil really shows some of the advantages you can draw from it and how to formulate a plan before even going into it. I think it’s a great tool for no gi players but a lot of the concepts are certainly applicable in the gi as well. You can make adjustments in both games.
