The Turtle Guard Revisited by Eduardo Telles
E. T. provided an short but very detailed instructional about his very unique style of using the turtle to set up his attacks and protect yourself from your opponents attacks. He points out really well how valuable the turtle position can be to counter attack your opponents action and reaction to your advantage. He also shows how well the turtle position connects to half guard and deep half guard as well as recover closed and open guard. He also points out in detail how the moves and the diffrent actions/reactions connect to each other. His techniques are simple and easy to follow. Highly recommend!!

Shotgun Aoki Locks by Mateusz Szczecinski
I have watched many instructionals but this has to be one of the best. You can clearly tell Mateusz spent a long time on refining his system around the shotgun aoki lock. The instruction is to the point and the techniques are tested at the highest level (of competition). Besides providing a comprehensive overview of options; entries; reactions etc. it is full of useful, game-changing details.

Response from BJJ Fanatics:hugging::+1::skin-tone-2:If you have to pick up just one instructional about guard retention & pin escapes - this is it!!!
Effortless Guard Retention & Pin Escapes by Octavio Couto
Prifessor O. C. did an absolute outstanding instructional! He points out how our feet play a key-role in propper positioning our whole body to protect yourself/prevent guard passing and if needed to defend by redirect your uke's energy to get into ofensive scenarios. In context with pin escapes he points out and shows some clear examples how to occupy space instead of creating space by using propper body positioning led by your feet again. Absolutely recommended!!!!
I love this

Good luck guys!
Response from BJJ Fanatics:hugging::+1::skin-tone-2:Must have for a fundamental and deep understanding of the low mount position
Mastering The Mount by Matt Thornton
M. T and his coaches did a great job by outlining the key points of the low mount position in terms of maintaining and regaining the position and progress to sumbissions. The submissions are the americana lock, the armbar when your opponent pushes against your chest which is of course very rare in a jiu jitsu context and the head and arm choke. The details on the america and the head and arm choke are on the point and very useful. The lession about the back take is very self defense based. So to summarize: This instructional is great about maintaining and regaining the mount!! In context of the given submissions and the back take lesson it should be more precise and detailed. Recommendation if the focus is on maintaining and regaining the mount
Response from BJJ Fanatics:hugging::+1::skin-tone-2:Amazing.

Anti Jiu Jitsu by Kazushi Sakuraba
Sakuraba has always been one of my favourite competitors to watch, but it’s been hard to find pure technique demonstrations from him with English details. This short video instructional from BJJ Fanatics uses Saku’s translator, along with the inputs from Craig Jones and Bernardo to help breakdown his ways of approaching common positions from his wrestling background.

Response from BJJ Fanatics:hugging::+1::skin-tone-2:Passing based on pressure and spinning
Surf Passing by Eduardo Telles
E. T. provided an solid series on passing focussed on pressure and spinning. Using this concept he is forcing in between passes from half guard and deep half guard or using variations of the knee cut to enter the spin passing. He utilizes the back step in a very efficient manner. His main concept is not showing your back when passing. -That means either you spin chest to chest or you step back towards his back so that you do not offer your own back. The backstep is always done beside your opponent so that you do not spin your back towards your oppenents chest. Great instructional!

Response from BJJ Fanatics:hugging::+1::skin-tone-2:Mr. Darece at his favorite submissions!
J. G. developed great series about his favorite submission. He points out the crucial details really sharp. Furthermore he delivers some very practical alterniatives so close and finish the darce even if you have not such long arms and hands by focussing on cloising at your forearm. he provides darces from every main spot in the sport even from side control bottom and to coounter the single leg when your opponents head is inside your leg. He points out really clear whenever you enter an overhook there is an opening for the darce! Opend my eyes for the darce! Highly recommend!!

New Wave Jiu Jitsu: Side Attacks - Building a Devastating Side Control System by John Danaher
As a semi-new BJJ practitioner, I was in side-control situations where I often failed to capitalize and lost positioning. This frustrated me to no end, after watching this video my whole game got to a new level. To the point that just pinning down opponents would cause them to tap. Danaher is an expert craftsman, I would highly recommend anyone of any level to give this instructional a try.

Ageless Jiu Jitsu: Winning When You're Older or Less Athletic - Bottom Game by John Danaher
The best No Gi instructional older/less athletic practitioners. Professor Danaher does not compromise the fundamentals concepts with tricks or special moves. He has logically and systematically cherry picked they best options from his vast domain of knowledge and applied to less athletic/older practitioners. (In my case, both.) He answers the "Why" questions regarding the concepts/techniques and demonstrates the "How?" The fundamentals definitely transfer to GI, but this is No Gi specific.
Response from BJJ Fanatics:hugging::+1::skin-tone-2:Great material

In-Depth Arm Drags by Jeff Glover
My first thought was why haven't I seen or thought of this in the past 13 years of doing BJJ?!?! I drilled this with some guys on Friday and hit it regularly on Saturday. This is now a staple of my game and has opened up so many new angles, approaches and things to follow up on. Jeff has a great approach to teaching. I've been buying his instructionals since when you could only get them on DVD and he had few tattoos. His teaching has gotten better, and his unorthodox approach never gets old. I used to look over the arm drag thinking it was too obvious and worried about the counter-drag. This arm drag study has changed up my game in an important way. Highly recommended.
