I was ”the people making usual mistakes”, or i still am, but far less on my halfguard game thanks to Tom’s excellent teaching! Half guard is the position I spend most of my mat time and with this absolutely great instructional I have been able to get some success even as an old whitebelt! Tom is brilliant!

The Running Man & The Baby Bridge: Essential Postures To Keep You Safe by Priit Mihkelson
I'm a fan on Priit's defensive posture, and the Running Specifically has been stopping me get stomped by higher belts. What I specifically love about this instructional is that it's the only one that shows TRANSITIONS between Priit's Defensive Positions - which is half of what it means to use them.

Meh
Side Control Dominance by Andre Galvao
After watching this and G Ryan's instructional on side pins, I was a little disappointed. This summarised and overviewed some more movement-based and flowy techniques than ryan did, but besides that didn't have much I wanted to add to my game. Good beginner-level instructional
A must for beginners and advanced practitioners alike

Mirroring Principle: End Game Finishers by Wim Deputter
Wim is outside of the norm when it comes to grappling. Very cerebral stuff that works with leverage and concept, but from a different branch of the jiu jitsu tree. I love it because he and individuals like Priit are developing Jiu Jitsu in a different plane than most. Not necessarilly better, but definitely different and definitely at least as good and thoughtful as the best coaches from anywhere. Well worth the money

Filthy Cross Body Attacks by Neil Melanson
My FAVORITE System followed by Dave Petrone’s BlackOut Hybrid. My Game is based around this. I’ve been doing No-Gi on/ off for 18 years (No Belt Ranking because we didn’t use a ranking system but I am a White Belt in Gi since I only started training in it within the last 1.5 yrs.) and blending these with the Catch heavy Hybrid system I’ve trained in keeps me competitive at 53 y/o even though I’m not as actively consistent as my Training partners are

Looking forward to apply these escapes on the mat! Big thank you to Professor Gurgel!
